That's the one. I forgot to mention another of his pearls of wisdom ; according to him, the thousands of empty seats on the away side showed that we don't have as many fans as we claim to have! He's obviously completely unaware of the fact that we sold our allocation in a day or two, and his marvellous club refused to release any more, doing themselves out of thousands of pounds.

I think the lad has a big future commentating for Radio Nottingham, or whoever extruded that load of effluent covering the game. His balanced and non-partisan approach is just their style, if they can stop him sneaking out with 5 minutes to go.

The subs also made a big difference the legs of Hobson & Colclough and the quality of Fleck was too much for them late on.
I've read a lot of comments from County fans about how they were by far the better side and should have been 2 or 3 up first half, but I think that the chances for Pepple & Banks in the first half were just as big as any chances they had and required 2 really good saves from their keeper (given one was from his mistake).
Thanks for that observation. As someone who didnt go, I wondered what Naylor was doing in the opposition penalty area during open play with just 3 minutes of normal time left.

This is wonderful. All our defending is lucky; all our forward work is lucky, too. The mass exodus and the old boy in the blue puffer jacket behind our man is hilarious after the second went in.

You forgot to mention that their goal was a cracker that Bobby Charlton would have been proud of, and I was thinking it was a weak, bobbly, mis-hit shot that deflected through a crowd and unsighted our keeper. Absolutely hilarious!
