That's the one. I forgot to mention another of his pearls of wisdom ; according to him, the thousands of empty seats on the away side showed that we don't have as many fans as we claim to have! He's obviously completely unaware of the fact that we sold our allocation in a day or two, and his marvellous club refused to release any more, doing themselves out of thousands of pounds.

Edwards?

Apologies. Can't think where I got that from. It's Metcalfe of course. Two of the best crosses this season though but, not to mention Gordon's for the first goal.

I think the lad has a big future commentating for Radio Nottingham, or whoever extruded that load of effluent covering the game. His balanced and non-partisan approach is just their style, if they can stop him sneaking out with 5 minutes to go.

Credit must be given to Cook for yesterdays win. The first 20 minutes or so we were under the cosh a bit, but the switch of Banks & Naylor to drop Banks in to protect the back 4 a bit more and push Naylor forward to give us a bit more legs to press is when the game changed for me.
The subs also made a big difference the legs of Hobson & Colclough and the quality of Fleck was too much for them late on.
I've read a lot of comments from County fans about how they were by far the better side and should have been 2 or 3 up first half, but I think that the chances for Pepple & Banks in the first half were just as big as any chances they had and required 2 really good saves from their keeper (given one was from his mistake).

Thanks for that observation. As someone who didnt go, I wondered what Naylor was doing in the opposition penalty area during open play with just 3 minutes of normal time left.

Naylor and a few others that some posters had written off as not good enough/past it, really confounded their detractors with that performance. Our determination and fitness levels were absolutely astonishing - a look at the highlights shows that at least seven of our players had the energy to get in and around their penalty area in the 87th minute. That was after a tough game in which we had to work really hard to match them, so there's nothing wrong with our fitness levels or ability to match good opponents at L2 level.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, there's a hilarious YouTube offering from a chubby, ginger County fan. He starts by getting some brilliant score predictions from a group of scruffy oiks just out of primary school looking forward to thrashing us, then spends the entire match claiming the ref and linos are giving us every decision, and Dobra does nothing but throw himself on the floor. Unfortunately, a lot of the time we just get close-ups of his face, but it's an absolute picture when we score. To cap it off, the self-proclaimed superfan leaves the ground five minutes before time to catch a bus and miss the crowds. It's a brilliant watch knowing the end result.

The old guy over his shoulder is brilliant when the 2nd goes in..
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

This is wonderful. All our defending is lucky; all our forward work is lucky, too. The mass exodus and the old boy in the blue puffer jacket behind our man is hilarious after the second went in.

You forgot to mention that their goal was a cracker that Bobby Charlton would have been proud of, and I was thinking it was a weak, bobbly, mis-hit shot that deflected through a crowd and unsighted our keeper. Absolutely hilarious!

Presume the shouting of 'You Pies' had nothing to do with the football but was a reflection of how many he was gonna eat when he sneaked out 5 mins early to beat the queue

Day or two? They were gone in under two hours!

He was playing further up the pitch for the last hour.

The one who put his house, likely his parents or more likely the councils, on County to win 4-1 with Slocombe getting the 4th for them was probably very disappointed!
