I think there’ll be massive spending in the close season to make the most of this years ST sales for FFP reasons

So Banks or Boot won’t be offered deals?

We can’t get carried away with a few wins and start accepting some players that aren’t good enough for where we want to be here next season. Metcalfe seems a good honest lad but we need a new centre mid next season and let metcalfe continue his development elsewhere.

The EFL transfer window opens 12th June. Town's accounts close 30th June.
That gives us just 18 days to do our incoming transfer business.
We can increase our revenue through equity injections and/or incoming transfer fees.
So not all is solely upon our ST sales, which may well be down on this season.
The initial post promotion euphoria has died down, and folk in the North Stand will be getting fed up of their fellow "fans", elsewhere, increasingly calling for the club to make their seats transient.
Personally, I think Jack, Jensen and Bim will all be offered contracts. Jack and Bim's contracts are unlikely to be extended, Jensen has a year left at Everton, but under a new manager, and owner.
I think several of the OOC players will be offered contracts too. Ryan, Ollie, Janoi and Bailey.
I think that John will be persevered with. His cameos show what he can do.
That's an outfield squad of 15, still eaving space for 7 x starting 11 players.
That's still without any under 21's. (Born after 1.1.2005)
You say no OOC or current loanees will be here. I say 7 will be.
It'll likely be neither, but interesting to see who's nearer the mark.

Fair. I think he would be a decent squad player, probably not a starter.

Problem is then you fall into the trap of signing higher league 'experienced' players who either don't come cheap or at the end of their career. Albeit you do need a good mix of youth and experience but within reason.
Personally, I'd be disappointed if Metcalfe wasn't here next season. I think he's come on leaps and bounds and is continually improving. I think he'll be even better next season.
I think Banks will want the usual 2yrs deal and that will probably be the reason he'll leave.
I'd have to say, the regular older players we have now - who come under the experienced category- we'd get another season out of.
Cook won't want to axe all the experienced and under performers as he'll be starting from scratch again and will have to give time for a new team to gel.
I think the team the last couple of games looks the business for next season plus and minus a coulpe.

Since his return from injury he appears to improve game on game and was very good at Notts. I just wonder if in the long term and if nowt goes wrong (so that'll not happen) PC could see Jensen being John Flecks "legs". For the more mature on here abit like Pugh and Archer

I'm sorry but the opening statement is just so wrong. Why have we only 18 days, all incomings in those 18 days will still be getting paid by their current club and so we can't start paying them until 1st July. Which is next seasons accounts. ST sales for 25/26 are not included in the forecast for 25/26 as they are classed as 25/26 income. We use 24/25 income to forecast our 25/26 budget.

You could aim that at Banks, his consistency has been a point of concern for me up to the last couple of games. Maybe he’s happy getting a run in the team ? Maybe the general fitness of the improving squad means the workload is spread more evenly ? The 3 game ban mmmm have just about got over that.
We are also at a point where contracts are due for renewal, that could be the biggest incentive for the improvement.

32 and OOC in the summer and LOVES this club. No one will want promotion more than Ollie Banks. I absolutely love him in the forward role. I’d give him another year. One of the best on the ball we have.

Thank God you've got some optimism, reading your posts over the last few weeks was making me depressed. Agree with you, love Banks, fantastic technician who I'd have for another year if we can fit him into our wage structure.

I'm with you, we ain't getting rid of all the out of contract players. For one thing, we have some very tidy out of contract players, so why get rid? The reason why we're in the position we are is down to the injury problem, which doesn't seem to want to go away. If we'd had the majority of our squad available, we'd be much higher in the league.

He seems a lot happier with the physical stuff than he used to be, particularly heading. I thought he was a bit of a luxury item last season, but he's added the grit lately.

Haha yeah, sorry about that mate.
I’m sure he’d take a small paycut to stay at the club. He’s local and clearly loves it here. I wouldn’t be against a 2 year deal in all honesty as even at League 1 level, he’d be a great option in the squad.
