We’re moving away from W7 next season. Being harassed by the stewards in orange on a weekly basis isn’t on my list of things I enjoy at football.

Reckon the w7 brigade should move over next to the netting where away fans now sit (if seats are available) would definitely add to the atmosphere.

Aren't they all season ticket holders other than right at the very front?

Or.... you're probably still working if you don't have your pension, so you can pay what every other person pays.

Or... you can afford to retire without your state pension, so you don't need discounts.

Does that mean you are not a pensioner?

Prices seem fair. Big discount for under 21’s which is good for attracting youngsters.

I no longer have one myself due to us spending 4-6 weeks in warmer climates during the winter but still being able to watch games.

Downside is I sometimes struggle to get tickets but as long as the ground is full I’m happy

No. And I'm not asking for pensioner discount.

Not enough room there.

If the club came out and said if people want to stand/create an atmosphere they are welcome in N4/N5 I reckon a few would move (myself included). We're in S5 which along with S3 and W7 is one of a small pocket of fans who stand and try to improve the atmosphere - would be better, and probably safer if everyone was in one place but the club don't seem too bothered, just keep employing jobsworth stewards to annoy everyone instead

Have you asked the club about doing this?

I would imagine the reason the club can't be seen to promote this is it would be in breach of their sports venue safety certificate.

It got mentioned at a fans forum thingy when the club / police were accused of trying to dampen the atmosphere in W7, not enhance it. During the times of away fans in the North Stand.

Isn’t this something that word of mouth could create anyway. Most people seem to know each other and use of social media to bring it about. Build it and they will come.

They don't open n5 though unless the rest of the ground is filling up nicely, do they?

What I meant was there’s nothing stopping a group of like minds buying ST’s in N3/N4.

N4 not on sale and N3 has existing ST holders who may not be happy with an influx of people wanting to create some noise. I've bee in N2/N3 a few times this season and it is very family orientated so may well need to be an empty block like N5

Ahh, get ya. It would make sense to make some sort of arrangement so everyone who wants to make a noise, organises a section to buy in the same area. It's cheaper in the north stand too

I have a friend of a friend who’s always got tickets at Old Trafford available and very often they’re referred to as in the singing section.

I assume referring to the singing section is the way you direct folk who want to stand and create an atmosphere to get together without breaching any safety certificate?

Yep loads of teams have it, even Cheltenham the other week had a dedicated singing block in their man stand, same with Colchester last Tuesday

Think our plan is to buy in N3 but move over to N4. It’s not like it’ll be too busy for 80% of the games. N5 would be perfect to create some form of atmosphere area.

Good on you buddy, all woke controlling b@ll@cks does my head in. Brought up in 70’s and 80’s Saltergate era. Fantastic days freedom and sing when, where, how you want!!!
Don’t think most other countries worry about any of this their atmospheres are phenomenal. We are completely over controlled I honestly can’t believe some of the sh@te in our country now.
