Just seen a few you tube shorts of a general fixer chap called Ray from a Australian series called Mr Inbetween, looks interesting.

Watched the first episode of Paradise on Disney+ at the weekend. Good start and worth a watch.

I found it a bit weird. Then again, I'm not a fan of sci-fi.

Toxic Town on Netflix. A hard watch in places, but a must watch.

Really good drama, terrible subject but with some appropriately positioned light hearted moments

Yeah all those accidental clips that pop on shorts / reels / TikTok etc are all strategically placed to draw you in to subscription sites.

Mr Inbetween is arguably the best show to come out of Aus. I believe its been recently added to Disney Plus hence the sudden increased exposure.

The inbetween being is he a good guy who does horrible things or is he a bad guy that does good things? That's the juxtaposition.

Never met a single person who watched it that didn't rave about it.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Just finished watching Adolescence on Netflix. I thought it tackled what appears to be a growing issue very well.

What, toxic white masculinity; young white lads being 'groomed' by Andrew Tate; white knife crime?

Whilst being excellently acted, it stank of propaganda. The story was taken from the abhorrent knife attack by a black kid - what's wrong with sticking with that narrative.

Coincidentally, fast as you like, we then have an MP bringing it up in parliament, and banging on about toxic masculinity to KS, who then says they'll be conducting a review into getting it into all schools....can't do one about the Pakistani Muslim rape gangs but, absolutely no issue with doing it about white toxic males and white knife crime.

We have Graham doing the rounds, talking about toxic masculinity; completely forgetting his disgusting tirade at a referee when he was playing non league. Going on about how he was bullied at school, because his granddad is Jamaican.

We have the director, banging on about young white lads being radicalised, toxic masculinity, and how males need to be more feminine - what?

Honestly, I've never known anything so bizarre, than how this has been promoted.

Which murder do you think it was based on?
Most of the usual idiots on social media are saying the Southport attack.

This programme was filmed last March.

Great acting but so many mistakes in episode 1 (the only one I’ve seen tbf)

Your point is not lost on me. Had any of those subjects been highlighted though and covered in the same way, I would have said exactly the same because the backgrounds of those committing the crimes are irrelevant, it could have been a series covering Maggie Oliver's campaign, gang on gang violence or Top Boy.

What sort of a point is this? He’s done something bad before therefore he cannot speak about a subject?

You need to get over this thing you do where you pick out one point of somebody’s past and use it as a reason to dismiss what they’re saying. People are complicated beings, we’ve all been hypocrites in our lives (apart from you, apparently?) it doesn’t mean they can’t talk about a particular subject?

Appreciate the psychoanalysis...

However, surely, it'd be better if he (and whoever) admitted their own failings first; otherwise it looks like sanctimonious, virtue signalling, arrogance...no? The fact is, his toxic masculinity was on full display, only three months ago; it's not like it was ten years ago, mate...so wind your neck in a bit.

Anyway, as per; the subtext has become the issue. It's not about me, my friend; it's about the programme and the propaganda surrounding it; the issues it's raised, versus the reality.

I found Toxic Town to be a much better watch than Adolescence to be honest. Great acting in both though.

Currently binge watching the 3rd series of Gangs of London and got the second series of ten pound poms lined up after that. From the trailers and cast starring in the new series Protection on ITV tonight it looks like it may be worth a watch too...
