No idea, we?ve had lots of injuries, maybe that?s bad luck, maybe it?s training methods, maybe it?s old players, maybe it?s kids with little experience of men?s football

Maybe it?s a combination, but no, I can?t give an example

I think the 2 injured players that have affected us the most is Fadz and Grigg

I?d have put Dunks in there but without the Dunks injury I doubt we?d have got Fadz

The Fadz and Naylor CH and DM would have worked well and we have no replacement for Grigg

The other positions are well covered

I?d go back to Naylor, Banks, Mandy and Duffy tonight

Take out Metcalfe Madden Olikigbe and either DJ or Donacien

Seems strange not having Shecks in there but I?ve not forgiven him yet

No. If you include sold or recalled etc then the team is a new one made up of reserve players, loans. Most folk tend to ignore injuries as a mitigating thing but I think it's clear and present with us. Have to say the bizarre refereeing decisions have played a major part - but don't all fans say this?

My only questions are some of the loan signings - too many kids. John Duncan and others - Nicky Law -  used to get more experienced players in on loan who were steady. When was the last time we got a good, experienced player from the league? 'George Margerita' 2014/5?

But apparently we've a bloated scouting system, including cooks lad , and we still get inexperienced kids, and doesn't there club pay most of there wages?

Wages is completely down to the deal agreed no set formula.

I'm glad we agree that the injuries have rendered this season completely unworkable ;) But yes, agree, Grigg and our main CB being out have killed us. I think anyone doubting Grigg's influence now has to eat a significant portion of humble pie (bonnyman). Also agree with your suggested changes.

With the squad rules these days any "experienced" loan players is going to take up a squad place like Sparkes currently is doing for us hence why i suspect many loans are younger players. Also its never as easy to get experienced players released from a club on loan plus they will likely be more expensive. Also got to remember we've just spent 6 seasons in the pit of National League which probably wasnt as enticing for experienced as you call them loans.

Also i dont really remember a raft of experienced loans, even the better ones over the years were younger when they played for us.

I remember Campbell rice, Clingan, the kid from Tottenham who does Talk Sport today, Hitzlberger?, a great player from Birmingham(former Wednesday) who played in midfield - Graham Hyde - George Marg, etc some really good uns. I suspect because we are in L2 things come from lower hanging fruit, not these guys. It could of course be because the stars aren't aligned yet. Bad luck? maybe but the scale of injuries - to 'tough' players as well is mind-boggling. With Sparkes, we've got a good un. Not sure about anyone else.

How long were you a Scout for? I know you were one but I don't remember how long your scouting career was.

Campbell-Ryce was 21 the first time he signed for us before returning to us as a 33yr old i think. Clingan joined us as a 20yr old having never played a league game before joining us. Jamie O'Hara was 20 when he joined again having never featured in a league game prior to his loan with us. Hitzelsperger joined us to keep Stefan Moore company i think, he was 19 when he joined and had never made a senior appearance prior to playing for us.

Graham Hyde was an older signing but we only got him because Birmingham felt guilty about Curtis Woodhouse badly injurying David D'Auria in a pre season game! Margreitter did look a good signing and had been loaned out because he wasnt part of the plans at Wolves. Thing is these days with the transfer window teams are less inclined to loan players out in case they are needed making ones like that more unlikely these days.

The argument about elite young players not always being ready for mens football is that, since circa 2012, young players have played in the professional development leagues with fellow youngsters, with the emphasis on ball skills and possesion rather than the brute force sometimes seen at senior level.
Before then, during the time we were signing most of the above, there was reserve league football, where by definition youngsters would have been blooded with and against seasoned professionals.

Something that keeps arising, posts on here saying our young contracted players need to go on loan for experience and game time, then when we bring young loanees in that have been signed by clubs three divisions higher they should be experienced before we get them.

Bloated? You're the first to suggest it. How many scouts do we employ and how does it compare with other clubs at our level?

Listening to Andy Woodman on't Youtube, he was saying that he gets his loanees by dealing mostly with a few clubs where trust has built up over the years. So I guess the first question he asks the coaches and presumably gets an honest answer to is 'is this lad ready for mens' football?'
I wonder if we asked the Fulham coaches?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Bear in mind that those loans were well before the limited squad list set up that is now enforced.
