Hillsboro 1980, the mad 3-3 all draw! My dear old Dad took me, he thought I would end up supporting Wendy so we sat with their lot, Newarks all of them, nearly got us both killed celebrating when we equalised in injury time lol.

October 7th 1978 2-1 home win v John Toshack's Swansea City although my dad took me to Chesterfield boys v Derby boys at Saltergate in May 1978 so technically that was my first game but Swansea City my first league game.

You must have been in the same section as my dad, bruv and myself, ( my dad always took us in the home end at away games cos it was cheaper lol) I remember we weren't the only only ones celebrating that goal..

CFC 0 Hereford 0, 1983-4. The most remorselessly dull game of football I had ever seen in my life. Here we are!
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Reeves' debut. He scored, won 1-0 vs grimsby. Must be October 97 (without checking)
Here we go again!

69/70 season. Ernie and Kevin Randall up front. Tommy Fenoughty class on the ball. Dan Archer - had to take every free kick, every corner! Charlie Bell missed nothing in the air, Albert Phelan calm and collected by the side of him.
First game was under lights - something magical when you?re 6.

jan 1981, lost 0-1 to Charlton, for some odd reason we sat in the wing stand cross street end, don't remember much except our yellow training hoodies pre match, john turner standing on the halfway line when we had a corner, hooked right away? yep pretty much.

23rd.August 1958,I think,Halifax at home.My dad had to babysit me as my mother worked six day weeks at Woolworths,so I would be sat on his shoulders or one of his mates shoulders for most of the games.
Sixty six seasons later and still no more sense than I had then obviously.

To the best of my knowledge 18th October 1967 for the official opening of the floodlights against Sheffield Wednesday with Sir Stanley Rouse in attendance.

Travelled with a number of people on here over the years, car in 70's with mates and 90's when our children were young and going with me. Club coaches, SIFA for 9 years, Blue Stoops and for the last 16 years The Bridge Inn and now The Barrel Inn Travel as an organiser.A few memorable trips with The Peacock organised by the late Rob Wilmot and the special trains of course.

1-0 loss at home to Luton, scored in the last minute by Showumni. Absolutely baltic. 2003 I think.

1976 Walsall FA Cup 2nd round 2nd replay
At Baseball Ground, Derby
We lost 1-0

Alan Birch played for Walsall - probably my favourite player.
Only time I saw Rodney Fern play.

April 19th 1957 at Saltergate, third division north v Derby County 2-2 draw with Cunliffe & Lewis scoring our goals. Before the end of the month, we lost the return at the Baseball Ground 1-7 with Barry Hutchinson scoring a penalty.
