The fact you are so blind to what is happening in and around Madden tells its own story. I?m annoyed at myself for biting and replying to you but he can?t do anything if we either lump it 12 feet in the air to him or play it along the back line. You are an absolute idiot. I know your bed bound and whatnot but ffs get a hobby and stop posting absolute nonsense on here.

Sheckleford's height did him for the goals and he was physically drained at the end. Thompson should have punched the ball out as well. Madden never had a sniff when he came on. Had Pepple made it 2-0 it could have been a different game. It was more difficult to miss which he did with ease. Disappointed really.

This fuss about Pepple. Went today. He's a young lad and still developing. Their 9 put a big shadow. Our fwd line is questionable to say the least

Back to the match thread.
We should have atleast got a point out of the game.
We battered them first half, dont think Thompson had a shot to save.
The ref situation didnt help us at all, the original ref was very good, kept the game flowing and allowed play to continue.
Then that clown took charge.
What an absolute tool of a ref.
We had some bad uns in the National League but this clown was right up there.
As far as commenting on Walsall, how they are top of the league is beyond me.
First visit to their ground, stewards very friendly but thought apart from the main stand the ground is a bit tinpot and dated.
Lets not panic, just a lucky win for the opposition today and a sh$t ref that was completely incapable of refereeing a game of football.

How come they had significantly fewer home fans than midweek v Gillingham?

I wonder if they had some kind of offer on for that game?
Thought their support was rubbish today

Been played out of position all season. He isn?t a number 9 and hasn?t been for ages. What more can he do?

It might have looked like a penalty watching from Mars but not for those watching on planet Earth

Ha ha. It's made for plenty of good "ale talk" discussing the planet of origin of those charged with the task of deciding what isn't (note no is) this season.

My initial thought was it was a tackle from behind and would have been deemed a foul on halfway line. Only seen (and without much clarity) it once, so if wrong when I see highlights I will hold my hand up.

It was basically a block tackle. Never a foul / penalty in a month of Sundays.

Totally agree. The subs were astounding for me? we are losing and simply brings on a 5ft 8 replacement as a target man and takes Pepple and Duffy off. Why not play 2 up front and leave the dangerous left side alone.
I really don?t understand what Oldaker brings to the team?. Surely a CM needs to dictate the pace of a game?. Not sidewards and backwards
Very disappointed by the performance today?.

Dominated 1st half, game would have been put to bed if Pepple had put an easy chance in.

Never woke up 2nd. Subs too late and the wrong ones made after 2 quick goals which could have been avoided defensively. Take your pick about those responsible

However JG immense today and led by example. Shame about others with more experience like Naylor who needs to be dropped. Totally off the pace. He and the CF should have come off straight away after the 2 goals.

Shecks just confirmed my previous thoughts about him today. Clueless with or without the ball. However I?m not sure his replacement is much better. We have a problem at RB methinks

Coco put on first presumably to save the match. I groaned loudly when it happened and unfortunately he proved me right. Just not at this level.

OB only gets on in the last 5m, Mandy with 2m of normal time. Scandalous

Easy for PC to go off his rocker after the game. He?s the one who has the capacity to change the game when it?s needed but he failed badly. Whatever you say about Walsall?s tactics the changes made at HT worked. PC was stuck in the usual mind frame and late subs were the usual desperation tactics without thinking things through as the game developed

Btw when will he realise Madden has never played CF in his career ? Yet he?s always been a prolific goalscorer

Not actually your worst post mr cum until the last bit. Madden absolutely is a striker, he always has been it was only his last two seasons at Stockport where he played just behind a front two. It?s not like he?s out of his comfort zone, although I disagree with some of the stick he?s getting anyway.

That's true. I don't see where even 5000 home fans were. A few hundred on each side and there weren't 3500 on the end. Must have been lots hiding behind glass windows.

motm Grimes, Pepple worked his socks off.
Apart from the 1st half the team performance was garbage. Time to rest Thommo again, he was weak for the 2nd corner, handling and kicking not good enough. Booot must regain the gloves next week, misssing banks in midfield. They really let the travelling fans down yet again away from home.

I think next week there'll likely be 2/3 changes to the starting line-up. There's not a huge amount we can do really. He's unlikely to stick Fleck in. DJ was fine first half and played one magnificent pass across the pitch to Olakigbe. Naylor looks to need a rest though. Donacien will definitely replace Sheckleford. And perhaps Boot in for Thompson.
