Given our injury problems I would snatch your hand off for 7th now and will fancy our chances against any team in the play offs and would be nice to beat County at Wembley

I imagine county will be automatic. But what a scenario!

With players on the way back and Paddy Madden able play in the position behind the stiker, once Grigg is fit that is,and defenders coming back into the fold, I'm feeling very good about our prospects this part of the season. It would be nice to see both Chey Dunkley and Kyle MacFazdean back though too.

Six points behind seventh, seventeen to play, with key players to return.

Game on...

That defeat at Cheltenham was galling

And the games over Christmas which were virtually write offs, under normal circumstances we?d be sitting rather pretty

We have a really favourable run in. A win at Walsall and then I?ll start to believe.

I think if we're pushing for playoffs, we're pushing for autos. It's pretty close and plenty of points do get dropped at this level.

We have the current bottom 7 in the last 10 games. That could be our undoing knowing us😅
Here we go again!

Imo, it's all about whether Duffy, Bim, and Michael can strike the consistency levels that the players they have replaced had. Signs are good so far but they've not played enough to be marked on consistency.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

County in 2nd down to Salford in 7th are only seperated by 5 points with teams having largely played the same number of games so automatic is still all to play for for a lot of teams.
You?d still fancy Walsall, at this moment, to claim a top three spot due to the 8 point advantage they have but like some have said I?m sure due to their reason loss of form they?ll be nervously looking over their shoulders, even more so if we get something there on Saturday.
Still a lot of points, and positions, to play for. The 3 points for a win being one of the good decisions the powers that be have made over the years.

That it a very interesting scenario. If we can find our best team / consistency very soon that run in could be very smashable

Walsall game suddenly becomes a big one, they are there for the taking. Game on as Chris says

Feeling quite confident about Saturday. Big following and a top performance could make it one of those games that sticks in the memory (like the 94/95 one always will for so many) for a long time.

Bring on the weekend!

Just had a couple of minutes on their messageboard looking at the reaction to their game last night. Their negativity is on a whole new level which is quite funny. I'm sure it's the usual types we have here but not only will they lose to us at the weekend, they will not go up automatically, they'll definitely lose in the play-offs and quite a few say that'll be them done supporting Walsall when it happens 😂

What a strange thing to say about your club. I find it difficult to understand fans who believe that their team should prosper where others don't, and as for turning away from the club, isn't that a little childish. Keep having a look on their forum, because if we beat them on Saturday you may not be able to buy a knife, or get anywhere near A&E in Walsall. Lord knows what they'd be like, if they dropped out the league.

got a bloke at work with me who is a walsall fan and a really good mate of mine watches them every week. They are both convinced we will turn them over on Saturday.

When you look back over the last 30 years or so, they've had it good compared to some. Promotions, Wembley trips, a couple of ventures to the second tier. Bigger clubs than Walsall would cheerfully swap that. Oldham haven't had a promotion since 1991!

They unfortunately snatched a late draw at home to Altrincham last night....bit annoying really.

Very true, and you'd think that the fans would take that onboard. Most rational people would accept the highs and lows of being a supporter of any club, but probably most of us, having been close to folding twice, have a different outlook on our club.
