Barnet fan coming in peace. Enjoyed battling you lot last season and I?m (hopefully) looking forward to joining you again next year.

What do you feel are the chances of us getting Bailey Hobson? Aware he?s not playing for you and Brennan says he?s looking for a midfielder.

All the best for the rest of the season!

There's a very good chance of his return to you guys as we've recruited in that area in the transfer window. He's not done much wrong when he's played tbf.

Not seen the squad list yet, but if he's not part of it, then I think there could be a possibility until the end of the season. He's a decent player is Bailey and hopefully he'll develop even more.
Regards the rest of the season, we're getting players back now so here's hoping for the best. Good luck in your quest of getting out that cesspit of a league mate.

Tbh I?m surprised it hasn?t happened already, I, like most fans here I presume, have a lot of time for him and he always gives 100% and hasn’t let us down, but at the moment he doesn?t appear to be in the managers match day plans. Whether on loan, or a permanent deal, I?d expect him to return to the NL soon and I?d imagine you?re in the driving seat.

If he's not in the squad list (we don't know what it is), assuming he enjoyed his time with you I would expect you to be destination #1. He helped us out when we were massively depleted numbers-wise but he's not good enough right now for us.

he's been quoted as being desperate to play regular football, so given he's fallen back down the pecking order and out of the match day squad again recently, I'd imagine he'll be banging on Cookies door again to be allowed out on loan to play games.

I know nowt but I think we'll come to an agreement to make any move, a permanent one. If he can't get near the squad with who we have now, I doubt he will next season either.

Or I could be miles out.
Here we go again!

I like young Bailey but I am not sure in which position he should be played in the way we set up. He does not seem to shoehorn naturally into any position in our shape. However, when required and wherever he has been played he has given 100%.

I think Cook knows there is a player in there but also thinks he needs games and he is not going to get them if we start having more of our senior players available. Furthermore, Cook is already recruiting players for levels and seems to have his eye on L1 ability in this respect. So, the question remains as to what level he sees Bailey aspiring to and I am not sure he sees that as L1 especially when the squad size is limited.

Therefore, if Barnet or any other team were to put in an acceptable offer for him I think he will be allowed to move on permanently.

Absolutely love Hobson, he's a 100%er and imo has enough to play in a few L2 sides (from what I've witnessed of opposition).
I feel he needs to go back to Barnet, gain that experience and then come back to us as I feel he can get better and better.

Bailey has improved and imo should be in our squad, but if he wants regular football then a move is best , good player

Barnet would be a good permanent move for him, he never lets us down but let?s be realistic about his actual chances here..

I would say there's a good chance he will return to you. Good player always tries but now we have injured players returning his chances will be limited.

All the best and give Oldham a good spanking from us after their antics at our place.

Good chance we let him go permanently but I?d imagine we?ll be after a reasonable fee considering we?d be getting compo regardless in the summer as he?s under 24. For us I don?t think he?ll ever be technical enough for how Cook wants us to play.

He has never let us down, bit of a workhorse and would be a good player for some L2 teams definitely. Wish him the best wherever he ends up.

If he continues to do well and improve further in his development, do you not see him in our squad in the future?
I think you might be pulling the trigger on Hobson to soon as his chances are limited within the settled squad. When movement happens at the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hobson given a chance (if he continues to do well on loan)
I'm sure Cook will move on some of our current midfield.

I fully expect us to be a lot stronger next season than this season, and he?s nowhere near the starting 11 as it is (ridiculous injury list aside). What do you think is his best position? I think Hobson will go on to be a decent enough player, but I don?t think it will be with us.

He's born to play a tough tackling attacking mid.
Got a shot on him, will probably bulk out a bit. Bit of an all rounder.
Could probably player either def or att mid but will have to dedicated himself to one or the other with a pinch of the other as a bonus to his playing side

I agree. I don't know what his best position is but I don't think it's likely to be found in our formation with the personnel we have.

Let's be rate - he'd still be at Barnet were it not for our dressing room becoming an A&E dept.

Like the lad's workrate, but not troubling the team list now and even less so after a summer's squad evolution.

If Barnet can scrape together a fee or have someone we might do a swap for, he could easily become their player...
