I had high hopes, but other than he can hold the ball up and compete physically, he's done nothing that we want a striker to do.
I can't remember any other shot he's had other than the one he scuffed against Rotherham.

So YES, he's not the answer

I agree when I see he was coming I thought he'd be the answer , don't think he will be ,ops Mullins not even on bench last Saturday so fingers crossed , guaranteed goalscorer

He runs with the defenders, doesn't seem to want to find space. The amount of crosses that go in and he's too busy wrestling with the opposition just goes to show that he is a perfect NL striker but just not cutting it for us.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Of course we all want him to come good. Hold up play is ok without unsettling defenders or pulling them out of position imo.

Pepple has had a single clear cut chance that I can think of. If he gets others, I expect him to come good. But then I'm a card-carrying happy clapper, so...

I?ve not lost faith in Pepple. Not the best start but it could all just come together and click.

Pepple would probably be decent with a strike partner. It's a hard role for anyone to play, yet alone a young inexperienced kid.

I?d expect most young centre forwards to have experience of being the lone striker these days, loads of clubs play a system that has one recognised striker

Hope the lad comes good, for me he is mobile and can hold it up, hasn?t had many clear chances to score

Madden doesn't look great in the role either and he's got bags of experience. We just don't look like we've got goals in us ATM, hopefully this will chance as the players gel

Madden, for me, has been the disappointment, and not Drummond or Pepple, as they're learning the game. Let's hope Paddy starts banging goals in, and the other two also.

To be fair to both strikers on Saturday, most of our balls into them were pretty poor. Passing has to be pretty precise into a lone striker and a lot of our passes were just aimless punts and 50-50s

Banks should play on Thursday night, in my opinion. Him and Jacobs are the only ones who can find a teammate without much trouble.

Wasn?t madden supposed to come as deep lying striker, which is strange as it?s the position he has never played, hasn?t been on the pitch for one minute with Griggs that I can remember
