Are we stronger this season?

Thompson worse that Boot and Boot not as good as Tyrer IMO.

Wouldn?t mind if we sent Thompson back to Newcastle and strengthened.

Don?t think he?s good enough. Distribution is awful, doesn?t command his defence and should have done better with the goal. Boot needs to start. He?s had enough chances now and not been convincing.

Thompson is giving a lot of goals away and dropping silly balls he should be holding on to

Booot for me the better keeper of the 2. His kicking is aweful hardly ever finds a blue shirt. Apart from the goal, the defence was on top especially my motm Williams. Thompson does not command his area.

He was made an offer that he chose to decline.

Today's goal , port vale at home and he's dropping loads like he did against Bromley it hit his chest and bounced back out luckily he got it back in time.
The goal he watched just roll past him and it went in, the one Dallas almost scored when he let it roll past him
Bromley's goal he gifted it them he should of let it go out the list goes on.
He was a good catcher of the ball but just lately he's holding up play and dropping a few balls

a top keeper is usually a must for a team going for promotion, thompson has good games and has pulled out some good saves this season, he's a young lad and will i believe have a long career in the game. not throwing in the towel but begining to feel that this season just isn't the season we return to league 1, should we be in league 2 next season i don't in all honesty think we'll be going back to newcastle to bring him back.

I think we can all acknowledge that the initial squad with a bit of January tweaking would have seriously challenged the top 7 at least, but injuries have crippled us. I?ve always said January is a shocking time to do business, too few players at too higher prices. I get the feeling we?ve been drawn into a January chop and change bingo to try to salvage a promotion push when it?s not what anyone wanted or needed. Don?t get me wrong Cook seems to have unearthed a cpl of good uns and there?s still a long way to go, and we may yet Nick a top seven place, but maybe time to settle down see where we go and look towards next season longer term.

He needs more coaching and get his confidence up , not going to be a first choice premiership keeper he's not good enough end of.
