Mandy does what Mandy does best. He never truly dribbles, but has a way to run with the ball and avoid any tackles by cutting off his defender, running in front of them and not giving them a chance to take the ball. There was an example when he was involved in our first goal. Then of course he mostly finds a team mate.

Long may he be here.

Totally agree. Maybe for some he compares negatively to the other wide players we have or have had because he doesn't play like an exciting winger, but he takes care of the ball, has defensive qualities and offers balance and a different type of attack.

After largely giving up on him (Liam, it wasn't you, it was me) I think he is probably my favourite Town player.

Aye he's certainly up there, he's improved so much... but I think I'd prefer a dribbly boy on the right in the mould of Markanday. Mandeville may be better centrally and deeper. Different types of threat but I do feel like we were stunted down the right quite often last night due to being unable to take their players on (until the game opened up late on).

Just watched their assistants post match interview (Woodman clearly didn?t fancy talking to press!) and I genuinely think he might have watched that game with his eyes painted on.

Few of my favourite bits?

?Grant smiths touched the ball as much as their keeper, barely had a save to make?

?If you take 2 of the goals out of it then we?ve done great off the ball?

Do they realise how thick they sound?

Grimes and McFadzean made Cheek look Sunday league last night.
He never had a sniff of scoring.
Neither did Kabamba after coming on either.
Well done boys. :D

Not sure there was much intent, he had his studs up but made no contact, it looks worse than it was, definite red though

Think his blood was up after his tussle with Pepple. That was one long he stuck out at Naylor with studs on the end. Didn't look as bad as it did in real time form the South Stand. Ref had his red out very quickly and if he took longer may have reached a different decision. Still a red for me.

Their Mr Hubbard going berserk was pure box office and he may get a bit more than the standard ban. Reckon that little bloke might be in for a bit of discipline as well. He still had another attempt to get at Cook (who looked like butter would melt in his mouth) well after his boss had gone. Wish I had a ring side seat.

Just seen that my 'Mr Hubbard' was changed to 'Mr Hubbard' by the autocorrect/swear filter. Perhaps that could be removed as it isn't too respectful now the old boy as gone.

I watched this closely and literally couldn?t be sat in a better position to see, Webster wasn?t having a laugh with Cook he was stood in front of our dugout laughing and pointing at Paddy Byrne saying look look he?s taken his glasses off now

Webster is a massive dickhead but strangely I can?t help but quite like him.

Edit - Also, it was 100% Paddy Byrne that they wasn?t happy with, he was the first to jump up and got in Woodmans face as soon as the red came out he must have said something to upset them because they kept going back at him, Webb was walking about swinging arms about with no real purpose other than his tiny spat with one of their bench (assistant?) can?t help but love him.

Well, as I saw it, Webster was coming back down the touch line when the shemozle started, he'd got a smile on his face as he passed Cook (goal side of dugout)they exchanged words and both end up with a smile(laugh) on their face, he then proceeded to our dugout. I've no idea what was said, due to bloke in front of me being well blessed decibel wise. At this point the dragging back of woodman from our dugout trying to get at ???? made for far better viewing.

???? I said it was Webb but if Byrne I stand corrected, but one things for certain Woodman, when things are going for him gives the impression of being a jolly sort of fellow, but when they aren't he's an absolute ar....le

They'd have been happy to have taken it to 85 mins 1 down and then 'had a go'. That's my take.

Especially as they had manufactured an additional 8 minutes.

Had we got the such added time on Saturday we might have got a better result.

I have to agree Liam Mandeville is one of my favourite players too, along with Mike Jones.

He's not a winger, just an excellent midfielder filling in for Markanday. His value out there is linking up with a full-back, but Shecks was playing a bit more defensively last night, presumably to add pace to the defence, so Mandy was a bit stranded. Still a 7/10 performance though.
His problem is that he's so good he can play anywhere, so tends to get the filling in jobs (right back, right wing) where we're short. In midfield he's brilliant.

Yep completely agree with you on that Woodman comes across as quite an approachable bloke, I think it?s an act. He had a good laugh at one of our fans giving him a bit of stick about not knowing the meaning of the word quicker. You must sit near me.

Very strange comment he made....
we had 13 shots with 6 on target, they had 2 shots & 2 on target...I don't think that validates his statement

Yes, I heard that witticism clearly and he raised a smile, but his plans hadn't been damaged at that point and therefore he didn't need to implement plan 'B' 'create havoc'.

Will they soon have had more men sent off against us than Cheek has scored goals against us?

I don?t know, but I?d love to never play them again so hopefully we can stop the count.

I want to like Andy Woodman as he comes across as a nice guy and he talks well but his sides tactics are just so repulsive I find it difficult. It's a shame for the players who actually want to play football.

Some of his team's tactics aside, I like him. He's a big personality with a good sense of humour and the job he's done at Bromley speaks for itself. If a job ever came up here, he'd be on my shortlist to meet with.

He let himself down last night. We all saw what he got sent off for, but on the other hand not many of us saw him giving Dobs a big hug in the tunnel after the final whistle. What Dobs did to deserve that treatment however, I'm not sure 😂.

Glad you mentioned Grimesy, he did well and deserves some praise.

After a good nights sleep with what I imagine was a full on smirk across my face, like what I have seen of all our new signings, the left side looked unstoppable for most of the game. Was very nervy at 1-0 with the tactics Bromley employ, but once we had the second never felt in doubt.IMO I do not think if they had kept 11 on it would have been any different a result.Big shout for JG, when he is up against an old school CF like Cheek, even with all his underhand tactics,he is at his best and totally out played him.
Nervously awaiting an update on KM and hoping our injury run is not continuing.Hope we will be seeing more of Fleck now, obvious quality as with KM.
Thoroughly satisfying performance and result, I get nearly the same enjoyment from this as when beating the Stags,so shows what a shithouse team they are.
