Overall a good day at the office against one of our bogey teams. More than can be said about our yellow friends this side of the M1 who are in meltdown. Many not happy with Cloughie.

Particularly annoying when their left back was injured. Was off the pitch and their assistant pushed him back on the pitch to go down injured.

The shithousery was off the scale & so expected. How they got away with that one & the keeper that made out his head had been kicked off

I thought their tactics very strange seeing as they were 1-0 down.
You'd expect a team losing and a man down to show a bit of urgency.
Even when the ball went out for their throwing, they refused to rush the ball back in play.
I know it's a famous tactic of theirs to waste time and break/slow the game but all I saw was them wasting their own time - like they were happy with a 1-0 loss

They'd have been happy to have taken it to 85 mins 1 down and then 'had a go'. That's my take.

Yes,I said to a bloke near me,that they're so drilled in the art of time wasting that they don't know when to stop.I bet they do it in the club car park, getting to the exit then getting out to check the lights and tyres 😅.

Yep , said to my mate , the tactics still work even if losing by a goal , takes any momentum away from us trying to put the game to bed , can frustrate us and gives them the last 5-10 minutes to cause a few problems. If we?d not got the second goal when we did the last 5 minutes plus 8 minutes added could have been tense and we?ve seen it happen plenty of times.

I don't think that's entirely true. When we beat them in the play off semi final he was very gracious and took defeat on the chins.

I don't think he touched Naylor at all but it was very rash. High, over the ball and reckless. 20 years ago it's not a red but these days more often than not it is. Woodman getting sent off was the icing on the cake. I have seen some of their fans moaning about Cook and his antics, Cook was actually calming things down. Webb was the one antagonising their bench. Lovely stuff.

It was Paddy Byrne actually that woodman had the problem with and kept going back for.

Exactly my take as well, they just wanted to stay in the game and have a chance of nicking something from a set piece or alike somewhere along the line. Also that hope that they could play the ref to get a decision to even up the red card.

Not seen a proper replay as yet but one of those tackles that it probably is a good job he missed Naylor to an extent if he has. Foot is very high which is what the ref has reacted to.

I want to like Andy Woodman as he comes across as a nice guy and he talks well but his sides tactics are just so repulsive I find it difficult. It's a shame for the players who actually want to play football.

Absolutely 100% red card. (Both of them).

Never quite sure about this, is it possible to get a red card for serious foul play or reckless play if you fly into a challenge but don?t make contact/make minimum contact with the player - ie. the challenge was reckless but you didn?t cause an injury?

It should be. Imagine you swung for a player but missed - that should be a red. If somebody is clearly out of control they shouldn?t be on the pitch.

First two are from the initial viewing with the third one from the closer up replay. You'd need a view from a camera on the west stand side to tell for certain what contact was made.

Another thing from the highlights, the way Dobra makes a beeline for Gary Roberts to celebrate his goal suggests its something they've been working on.

I'm the same really. I really respect what he's done there and he does come across well in interview but by Christ I would be gutted if Town played like his teams.
