Dobra was pure class in that first half, fantastic goal & a 10/10 performance in that first half.

Madden was a game changer when he came on, harried defender for the ball to release Dobra to set up the goal for Colclough.

Then John Fleck?in his 20 minutes or so on the pitch tonight, absolute quality..he patrolled in front of the back four, controlled the pace & what a top quality pass for Madden to chip a sublime finish into the net.

Madden was superb, harried their defence all across the back four to make mistakes?.superb player

Pepple could learn a lot from Madden

Nervy second half I have to admit, but once Madden & Fleck came on it all changed

The ball 'stuck' to Madden in a way it doesn't to lesser strikers.

Option for him to start Sat'di...

On the subject of Dob's, I've suggested to Pete Whiteley that we need to amend the club's telephone system. It's looking like one of the following is most likely:

1) If you're calling about Armando Dobra, please hang up.

2) If you're calling about Armando Dobra, I'm afraid there is no-one to take your call, please try again after February 3rd.

Fleck was looking to play forward passes as much as possible, something oldaker seems to struggle with, that pass for the goal was perfect for Madden, hopefully they're both not far off full fitness and starting games...
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Yes Dobra played well and linked really well with Duffy and Sparkes. Madden was too much for them to handle, and Fleck came on and showed why Paul Cook wanted him and was patient in allowing him time to build up his fitness. Add Macfadzean to the mix and we have ourselves a very decent performance.

Don?t know if it?s just me, but Oldaker has gone off the boil for a while?Metcalfe will hunting his role in the team after his little cameo tonight

Madden simply has to start, this Pepple experiment is over he is a good plan B as far as I?m concerned.

Why people are surprised Fleck is quality is beyond me, get him on the pitch as much as possible and we?ve got a real chance.

Pepple had at least two arms round his neck before Thompson had released the ball on practically every occasion, without, once again, any intervention from the ref. so I would say it is very difficult in that situation to assess properly.Personally I think he has put in solid performances and would say that it is the opposition trying to pin Pepple down that is giving Dobra more room to do what he does.IMO

I said at FT I?m it sure if Pepple is unlucky that chances aren?t falling or he?s just not in the right places. I can?t remember him having a chance yet other than the effort against Rotherham?

I?m not surprised Fleck has quality: he still looks heavy though. Admittedly a great pass for the goal. Quality finish too. I?d start Madden.

Not just you. Oldakers first instinct currently is to off load facing his own goal.
Metcalfe was a revelation, always facing the opposition goal and looking to pass to someone more ahead of him than behind. And full of running.

I liked Metcalfe when he joined us, bit rusty to start with, but he is a very classy cultured midfielder that is so comfortable & confident on the ball looking to always go forward.
I?ve a feeling he will score a screamer very soon

I for one,was pleased for Paddy Madden last night. To see him playing at his best was good to see. When young Pepple was on the pitch, he had a torrid time against their centre backs, because they do the usual Bromley kind of stuff, grabbing, kicking, pushing, falling over holding their face, but apart from that he didn't get the service Madden got, because both Fleck and Metcalf played forward instead of backwards.

In the game at that time there was space everywhere for Fleck, Oldaker had far more on his plate playing centrally.
God I hate this league.
