This is a really good point of discussion and something that has been on my mind recently too - what can we as a fanbase do to help PC & the lads more? 8,000 fans at 90% capacity should not be as quiet as we currently are? it?s really quite strange.
For me, when Yogi is away on holiday, the atmosphere is dreadful so getting rid of the drum isn?t the answer. But maybe he needs more support - perhaps the board and fans can get together and come up with some ideas to trial moving forwards? A singing section perhaps, or a second drum to take some strain off Yogi, or a trumpeter - I don?t know, but IMO we need to do more as a fan base on match days (myself very much included).
Overall Assessment Please get behind the lads, COYB

On the subject of atmosphere I've said it before we need 'come on you blues" banging out when we get a corner, the young uns appear totally anti anything can't be accompanied by a drum
"Come on you blues" at Saltergate kicking towards the kop when getting a corner almost gauranteed a goal yet it seems there's a total reluctance for some strange reason to sing it at the SMH instead something crap is sung that peters out to nothing. If somehow we can get "come on you blues" going I think it might make some difference but I won't hold my breath.

This is true. Grimsby last week being one.
This is very true, other examples being Port Vale and with their hundreds of thousand fans to add to the atmosphere Bradford city.

Two or three thousand at Saltergate made the noise of fifteen thousand in other grounds. I don't know if it was how the ground amplified the noise or just kept it resonating but it was something special. If the ground got going as one with come on you blues when we are kicking towards the top especially at corners and free kicks, that net would bulge more often I'm sure. When Ernie Moss heard that cry, he lept another foot in the air,it could work for our present day crop too. Sort it you kop dwellers and us old uns will sing along.
