We named 19 initially, then filled the gaps to 22 plus they let us add Hobson in place of Jones. We've lost Berry and Markanday to take that back down to 20 but by my reckoning all four January additions need to be in the named 22 as they are over 21. Possibly Dunkley wont be named if talk of his injury issues is correct so that takes it to 19.

3 RB?s in the squad seems a little overkill, especially with Mandeville able to play there. So VDC maybe out on loan.
Potentially 3 LB?s now too with Sparkes signing - presumably Gordon will be left off with his injury.

I think I heard on Phil Tooley?s podcast that we might not have to register Connor Cook due to Gunner Elliot making his debut as he?s a proper academy player which could also reduce the numbers.

You?d imagine Akinola may head out on loan again and Palmer too. Dunkley to be unregistered.

Maybe space for one more signing?

Interesting comment about Cook and Elliott. Do we know if that is correct?

We registered cook due to him being classed as home grown. If we hadn?t then we?d only be able to name 6 match day subs I think

Yes, that is what I understood from the explanation given at the time.

But, my recent post was in reference to Phil Tooley saying the fact that we might not have to include Connor Cook in the numbers because we now have Gunner Elliott as he has come through the academy. I cannot see how this works actually because I thought one or the other would have to be included in the 22.

I asked the same question earlier in the season. It is correct, what has been posted. There is a difference between Cook and Elliott. The former is a home grown player and the latter a club developed player.
