I reckon no one will get it right however many people have a go. My attempt;
Thompson
Sheckleford
Naylor
Grimes
Horton
Oldaker
Mandeville
Hobson
Dobra
Colclough
Pepple
Subs; Boot, Donacien, Berry, Drummond, Akinola, Palmer, Fleck.
Berry for Hobson if fully fit. If Aruajo fit, I'd play him instead of Naylor and swap Naylor for Oldaker.

I reckon spot on. No embarrassment of riches anymore

I'm not Horton's greatest fan so I'd have him on the bench, with Shecks at LB and Donacien in at RB.

Has he even played there before?

He is, hence him not appearing in my 18.

Just so glad you are not the manager.
Did you think Donacien looked u to speed and Shecks?

So am I.
I thought Donacien's organisational skills were immediately obvious. One or two of his passes/clearances were charged down but his defensive speeds were ok. He needs game time.
What about Shecks?

Don't know.
Why do you suggest nobody will get the team right and yet reject my pathetic attempt at seeing into the future?

I thought Donacien looked tentative and I'm not surprised. I wonder how many 11v11 games he has had in 15 months or however long he's been out.
Shecks? I know you love a square peg in a round hole but doing it at Grimsby on top of selecting the above.

So rather than playing someone you're not really a fan of (Who had a good game on Tuesday), you'd rather play someone out of position and someone who hasn't played for 12 months?

I'm a clean sheet man.
Donacien is 6 foot 2 and needs game time. The defensive combo of Horton and Colclough isn't strong. Oldaker is small. If Horton wasn't fit how would you solve the problem?

But Horton is fit. If he wasn't, I would play Araujo there before Sheckleford.
We also kept a clean sheet on Tuesday with Horton in the side.

Araujo played like a fish outa watta when he played there.
You have a higher opinion of Horton than me. That's fine, Cook probably does too.

I'm not rejecting it as such. It's just it's more like the sort of suggestion we would get from lindave. I don't recall seeing him play there or the possibility even discussed!

I'd say that's a good call. Horton sometimes goes all aboriginal now and again in defence, but we have to trust him because Sheckleford will be our right back at Grimsby I'm pretty sure of that. Even that side and the bench ain't too bad, especially when you think of all the injuries we are carrying presently.

What about Shecks?
Once, in the comprehensive FA Trophy win over Southport. Jeff King played right-back so Shecks (who was in need of some game time) occupied the left hand side.
