Without a doubt, after seeing Drummond play wide for 15mins against Rotherham, that should be his preferred position from now on

What a refreshing tonic it was seeing his natural ability. Cheered me up no end.
I'm a bit depressed at the moment. Three defeats and 3 very difficult matches ahead.

The longer this Orient rumour drags on with no confirmation plus the situation with so many loan players there, Blackburn might just be thinking the amount of playing time might be limited. If he stays with us, he's more or less guaranteed starts

Possibly, but hopefully not Orient might be playing our game and not revealing the signing 'til as late as possible to give the opposition as little preparation time as possible, there again we may be doing the same, pretty please.

Not sure Jacobs has ever been the type of player that looks to go past players etc, his game was always more around good technical play and passing to put others or himself into good areas. Balls like sliding it in behind for Grigg etc and things like that.

I remember him being a regular on Soccer AM years ago for goals from distance.

We certainly need a right sided winger, let berry and coco fight out the left and leave Mandy and dobra in the centre, if we bring in McFaddzean we can have some cover iid loan out palmer till season end

Just to add another fly into the ointment.....seems that during a, lively, fans forum for Sheff Wed last night among many other things that went off it turned out that Southampton recalled Shea Charles at the last minute ahead of a deadline the clubs had sorted in the loan deal. Howvever it turns out he could still play in Wednesdays next two game due to some 7 day rule or something. Wonder if the same 7 day rule is what is holding up Orient unveiling Markanday signing for them as technically he is still our player for 7 days from day they are recalled.

Could be utter rubbish mind you.

I think Markanday's return to Blackburn is largely the work of his agent, who is trying to wring a better deal for them both from Orient, and thinks it is better to have his player doing nothing while he does it.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Agents don't think about the long game and are about making a killing today. If the player makes a few quid during the deal,so be it, but it certainly isn't about the player getting the best football club to help him progress.
Andy Dallas is the easiest example I can think of, as I think Cook would have created a real winner out of him, but Mr 10% wanted his pieces of gold and now even Barrow have sent him back.
I do hope it works out for Markanday though.

Surely his wages from his contract at Blackburn would be more than we or Orient would offer?

Our loss is definitely Orients gain, but its the risk of the loan market.

We've used it to our advantage with Hobsons, Akinola and Drummond all being recalled early so we can't bee too critical.

We not only need to replace his goals and assists but his work ethic, too.

Desperately hope we have reinforcements coming in and the rest of the season doesnt involve the backup of Hobson and Drummond, can run around and try as hard as they like but they are nowhere near good enough. Reinforcements required once more which im sure Cook and the backroom staff are working hard to bring in

If Berry is only returning to training today you'd think he's unlikely to be a starter at the weekend. Will he move Mandeville to the right?
