Strange scenario though. Hope we?re not paying his wages to be back with Blackburn!

I suspect officially his loan deal with us has not been terminated as yet leaving him open to a return quite easily if they decide thats what he is going to do or no other move comes to fruition.

Real shame if he plays elsewhere for the rest of the season - made a big difference in most games, but we also have the likes of Berry, Dobra, Colclough, Mando that can make a difference

Thankfully we're not a one man team and we don't and never have had to rely on him, he's a good player but not having him doesn't mean we don't progress or win another game. He was never a guarantee to win games so lets not all get upset. I remember when the Dallas debacle was going on, the way some were moaning anyone would have thought it was the end of the clubs existence

Thanks for his contribution, goodbye and good luck but we are town and we have very good players, a great management team, fantastic owners and great fans. What's all the fuss about?

Blackburn manager says he doesn't know where he is. DW says he's not in the building.
With that information I have concluded that PC has him locked away in the cupboard under his stairs with a release date of 4th Feb

It could mean that there are several clubs in for him, including us, and we're part of an E Bay style auction with a buy him now price. I'm pretty sure that everyone involved knows where he is, apart from us obviously.

Listened to Wellens interview...

Said he desperate for forwards but he is only being offered loanees at present. However he said 'they have signed one today which will be announced tomorrow (hopefully)'.

As the interview was recording on Tuesday night after the game, the announcement should be today.

With the City tie banked they'll have a little extra cash.

It doesn't sound like he is in his immediate plans though. Still expect Markanday yo go somewhere permanent.

I just hope it gets resolved soon. We don't want to be hanging around on the off chance he is staying put

Just come across Elliott Jackson?s (the Rovers journo) X post referencing Webb?s RS interview post match. Not seen that posted up on here.
Slightly more comment - Webb says, effectively, Hes not our player, I think we have to assume he wont be coming back, but if he does?but we dont want to get our hopes up.

It would be great if he stays, and yes he has made a big difference - but one player doesn't make a team. We must look at the bigger picture. I am confident the management team has a plan in place in case he is recalled / moves on.

Not exactly same I thought. Isnt one interview with Liam and one with Paul Fisher - the RS less nuanced. Rather than not in the building, more he has gone, and we have to assume he is not coming back.
