Just reading the thread. I'm beginning to think that if we throw a bit of money at it - match whatever our competitors offer Blackburn for a 6 month loan - then maybe we can get him.

I still think/hoping Blackburn are looking at maximising their outlay on him either by clubs paying for his services or by a permanent transfer fee.

I'm sure they would have recalled him by now if they just wanted to take a look

Right, I've had enough of all this speculation. When my daughter's boyfriend came to the Notts County game with us, he was amazed to see Markanday playing for us. Turns out, his best mate at university was best mates with Markanday back in Blackburn.
So, I've just messaged the boyfriend. Ask your mate to ask him what the hell is going on, and tell him to tell him we ALL want him to stay at Town.

That's it then, I'm sure once he gets the message, he's Spireite till the end ( of the season)...

Cheers.

It seems that the local Rovers journalist has had a change of heart and is now stating that Markanday will be recalled and sent to Leyton Orient in League 1.

Apparently you will also sign Kyle McFadzean on a free from us this week too. He is not the tallest, or the fastest, but is a real warrior and organiser at centre back, and without him signing for us last winter during an injury crisis (on the same day we signed John Fleck who was an injury prone disaster) , Rovers would probably be in League 1 by now.

McFadzean will be 38 next month, and has hardly played for us this season due to the great form of others rather than him no longer being trusted, apparently he just wants to play and he is originally from your area, and I am sure will do a great job in League 2

Bad news if Markanday is leaving but we move on, as fans we don?t throw the towel in but we dig in and support those who play for us.

He was never our player so it should be no surprise.

Let's hope that, one Blackburn are as tight lipped as town when it comes to transfer news and two the local journo like a lot of local journos is just speculating and picking snippets up from social media and enhancing them with a view of getting some click bait.

Hopefully

This bit of news is like being dumped by Angelina Jolie, and then ending up being asked out by Olive from on the Buses

Recalling a player just to loan back out is so unreasonable. Don't agree to a season long loan it you don't want them there for the season.

It?s sadly all about making money now. To be honest I?d b*llocks to doing business with Blackburn again in the future.

We knew there was a recall clause there. There usually is and we had to use them ourselves for different reasons not long ago.

Give over. They did us a favour and it's worked out well for all parties to this point.
