I think that the vast majority of Rovers fans were surprised that Dilan was loaned to League 2 rather than League 1 during the summer, and the general feeling was that he would be a stand out at League 2 level. So the general question is, has this been the case? He was always more than a little inconsistent for Rovers, sometimes brilliant in limited sub appearances, but fading when given the opportunity to start off the back of a decent cameo, so I am hoping to hear he has been a little more consistent this past few months.
I have seen recent stories that Leyton Orient are trying to tempt Rovers into loaning him to them for the second half of the season, but according to our local journo, he is more likely to stay where he is until the summer.
His current contract does expire at the end of the season, but Rovers do hold an option to extend that until 2026, which will be triggered either way, although not sure if that will be in order to sell him for a fee, or to reintegrate him into the first team squad.
Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts, thank you in advance, and good luck for the rest of the season.
He's been superb at this level. Obviously a big gap between where we and you are but I have seen serious progression from him too. Relatively raw to begin with he's become an absolutely key player and matured into a very fine footballer. We would be delighted to keep him.

I'll be surprised if he goes for another loan particularly down south - be an absolute bonus if he remains here for the rest of the season....get promoted, he's OOC...who knows???

Probably not a massive amount in it, Blackburn is a pain in the bottom to get to from here.
His parents live in Blackburn?

Just reading the thread. I'm beginning to think that if we throw a bit of money at it - match whatever our competitors offer Blackburn for a 6 month loan - then maybe we can get him.

Warhurst was ultimately disappointing but I remember one match at Saltergate. He got the ball around the edge of the opposition area, Kop end, and did some sort of turn or feint that I had never ever seen before. Left about 3 of their players for dead but also left all of our players for dead as none of them got in the box for the cut back. It was obvious in terms of talent he was light years ahead of the level and our team, it was just his legs had gone by the time we signed him.
Also, Warhurst wasn?t on loan. We signed him on a short term rolling contract.
