Bonner gone at Gillingham, did they break the news to him in the Casa?

Ha. I thought not playing today might have saved his job. I was wrong.

Reminds me of the old Tommy Doc quip - I was sacked from one job after the Pools Panel declared a loss for us.

I can always remember Chris Mac and his deputy Steve Hetzke being sacked after a 4-0 midweek win, ironically v Gillingham if I remember correctly, and then Duncan and Randall taking charge at Darlington four days later. Maybe they have someone in mind for a quick appointment.

That?s what I?m saying, this was already sorted regardless of their result against us today if the game went ahead. Poorly worded I admit.

It was obviously lined up before today with the board being quite pleased at the postponement so they didn't have to do it after a possible win.

Pretty sure we drew 1-1 with Gillingham. I was there- Richard Green scored for them but I can't recall who got our goal.
These go to eleven.

Dyche might not be too far behind according to reports.

That was Colchester, about a month before. All goals in the second half.

I hope we get some defending and goalkeeping like that against us in our next game.

I knew there was a 4-0 somewhere around that time.

Manager move related, but not exactly current.

I was watching the Martin ONeill ?Overlap? episode last night, and in it he says that when he was looking for his first moves into full time management he wrote applications to both Chesterfield and Mansfield- but never got interviewed.

This before he went on to get his first job with Wycombe Wanderers.

So would have been the role Paul Hart took in 1988 ?

I just finished reading Martin O'Neill's autobiography. Excellent, and you get the feeling he wrote it himself too.
He was on Town's books briefly at the end of his career, featuring briefly in the reserves in an attempted comeback from a knee injury.
These go to eleven.

Looks like Rob Edwards is about to leave Luton and Lopetegui is currently taking West Ham training despite the fact the club have cancelled his press conference this afternoon and are apparently in talks with Potter to replace him!
