Can we get away with leaving them off for the next few days/nights.. chance of snow on satdi too, could the weather do us a favour for Sunday, with no game then till the 14th and that only the EFL Trophy so play the youngsters.. or as many of them as we can get away with..

Behave. Gilingham are playing now so have a day less rest. Plus they are absolutely rubbish. Nothing to fear at all even with a thin squad. Get it played, get them beat.

Agree. Okay like we have been and it's a win.

Bizarre mentality on here. Pray for bad weather, slag players off and don't want frost covers on? Are you real supporters?

Yes, perhaps we should consider playing them after all before they sack their manager. They are even worse than when we contrived to lose against them

Mind, perhaps Bromley, with less injuries one presumes, are showing its no big step up from the NL to League Two after all.

If snowing from Saturday afternoon through to Sunday night as the warning predicts then the areas around the ground affecting fans safety is likely to be more of an issue

Norwegian Meteorological Institute (where smart weather watchers go apparently) has snow of varying intensity through the night and well into Sunday.

I'll see what happens over the next 24 hours before deciding whether or not to buy a ticket.

Good job the game is in Chesterfield and not in Oslo or Stavanger then

On refection the MET forecast now shows heavy snow all night turning to sleet at 6am and rain by 9am. If that window slips a few hours it could put the game in doubt. I guess the team will travel up the night before though so that consideration will be removed. Do the authorities care enough about the fans travelling?

Just asked Siri on iPhone if it?s going to snow on Sunday it?s certainly going to snow on Sunday he responded. Slightly rephrased the question and he responded it doesn?t look like snow on Sunday
And they insist AI is the future!

Weather forecasting is a hundred times more accurate than it was, say, 20 years ago but is still no where near perfect and never will be, either. Its basically more powerful computers, analysing more historic data than ever before and constantly updating the results.

And siri just searches the 'net for your question, so is hardly at the cutting edge of AI either. If AI was able to predict the future accurately, it wouldn't be wasted in smart phones and weather predictions.

if you need an accurate weather forecast, you need to look out of your kitchen window lol

I remember when I was about 18 years old and still living with my mam. I looked out the kitchen window and it was clear and dry, so I filled two buckets with water, added a bit of Paddy Hopkirk car shampoo, and off I go through the front door to be met by rain. Went round the back and it's dry 🤔. I expect it has to be raining somewhere and not somewhere else, but when the cut off point is a set of ridge tiles, well I thought I was losing it 😆.
Here's hoping for no snow at the weekend and a striker through the door.

It is but snow forecasting is notoriously tricky. the amber warning for such a large area Sat into Sun is unusual, Some places will get a dumping and others, 20 miles down the road, nothing. I used to look at lampost to check for snow. A beautiful sight in the daytime but I hate the stuff now. I remember Saltergate was a nightmare - always getting games called off - I'm sure where there's a will there's a way and it wasn't used there.
