No chance! That might cost tv channels some, advertising time

We can dream at least. Would be interesting to know how long the ball is in play for the 90 mins

Are you talking about Hobson or Horton?!

On Horton (who did OK going forward overall), what on earth was he intending when he blasted the ball straight into the South Stand when well placed?

Generally 55-60 minutes. Sometimes a little more or less.

That was a terrible cross!
I think he did pretty well given how little he has played this season.

It shouldn't be to taxing. Maybe when the balls not in play they aren't making cock ups and don't like having to make a contentious decision at the end when it's intense, like at the final corner at Bradford. Bottlers.

Add to that their CF who kicked the ball away early in the first half

I thought this was supposed to be an automatic yellow card.

Had the ref shown any control at all he could have stamped out much of the gamesmanship from very early doors and let MKD know he would not allow it. Instead he chickened out throughout the game and they took full advantage.

He booked him for the second kick away but as you say not the first one,if rules followed he would have been walking. As I have stated several times,if the basic actual rule book was followed and these offences dealt with,as per the rule book, games would be much easier to control and seem unbiased to the fans.Oh for the perfect world.........

I said to the missus 10 at least, but rub salt into the wounds, etc with only 7 added, even with continuous time wasting in those final minutes he still blew after 7mins 17 secs

Exactly what I said ! I said to my mate it should have been 10 minutes at least and then they were still time wasting in added time but he blew like you say more or less on 7 minutes. Shocking refereeing all round today.

Kicking. The ball away isn?t a bookable offence.

Delaying a restart is, so if kicking the ball away delays us taking the free kick then it should be a cation. But if the ref intends on talking to or booking an offender when giving a free kick, or there is a sub waiting to be made then the player who kicked it away is unlikely to be booked.

But where is the next win coming from? This side is not good, I?d probably say it?s bottom half national league standard based on the quality. I?m not saying we will go down, but we look incapable of competing even against most clubs in this league.

How many of our players would get in other sides in this league? Not many I?d guess.

Crewe looks another loss sadly based on this served up today.

Thought the comments from the management team about naming players on the bench that had little to no chance of coming on really illustrates our situation and is quite an admission.

So much for that olde chestnut that if a player is fit enough to be on the bench he's fit enough to start.

Shows how much the game is about psychology aswell as performance

That's what the man said. Make the opposition think they have a game on their hands and lift our supporters and it nearly worked (except for Brit-ass).

I have not heard that theory before and hopefully won't for a while

Amongst others we missed Banks today with his strength and positive forward play. Drummond is struggling as centre forward in this league, mainly due to his size. It was clear today and against Bradford. I'd like to see his ability tried on the wings.

Their keeper was top quality today - his 2 saves from Markanday in the first and second half, then the save to claw off the line made the difference on the day.

On a separate note, I also really enjoyed Cooks post match interview - not many managers think about the long term sustainability of a club as much as he does, he has the best interests of CFC at heart in all he does and I love it.

MK Dons keeper very good keeper he made some outstanding saves.

Hobson for their second goal.

That's a bit harsh.
Watch where Oldaker is. He's far too deep and he could have been pushing up into White's face much earlier. I thought he was the best player on the field. 6ft 2in left footed defensive midfielder, presumably a big mate of Thompson's.

A return to a formation that maximises the probability of clean sheets is required. I'm worried about the lack of options at left back and CM. If Oldaker is playing it needs to be a 2 in CM. He was anonymous first half. Couldn't get a kick.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

From my angle I was fairly sure he?d score that free kick (I told my lad where he?d be going as our angle showed it perfectly) but otherwise I was pretty unimpressed by Oldaker. In other circumstances I?d be quite happy for him to sit on the bench (at best) but of course we have no choice at the moment.

Think we?ll have the disagree on this one. Yes, their guy brushes him off but he?s run 40 yards to attempt to close him down whilst everyone else stands there.

I mentioned previously that it looked like Hobson was going to bring him down (professional foul as such) but changed his mind - whether he thought it be a free kick in a dangerous place or that it would have continued into the box for a peno, only he'll know. But that lack of help he had - he tracked the player from side of the box to edge of area - no other player came to tackle or challenge leaving the MK player to pick his spot.
In hindsight, he should have pulled him down and take a yellow but I'd be pointing fingers at other blue shirts in close quarters who did nowt but freeze

One incident I found amusing 2nd half, on our goal line and 18 yard box, west stand side following a challenge we are awarded a goal kick, the ball ends up near the corner flag, accidental maybe. However the MKD players momentum suddenly changes and he manages to make contact with the replacement ball knocking it off its cone and sending it towards the corner flag. Top game management. 2 yellows maybe

Anyone with a liking for horror movies, perhaps tuning in Saturday lunch to the "detestable derby" Bradford v Grimsby Co starring Mr Elliot Bell should prove entertaining.
