Rember it well. Seemed like an endless stream of Wolves firm coming up Saltergate; brilliant atmosphere.

That story, if true, is disgusting.

As a tax dodging billionaire, you'd think he'd court decent publicity by actually upping the amount, not getting rid of the entire contribution. Why don't they players chip in; it's peanuts to them. Then again, we're talking about a guy who wants a new stadium built out of taxpayer money, so I'm not the least bit surprised by his behaviour.

He is a typical selfish *** who has no time for the ordinary fan or even the vast majority of the club shareholders. They have gotten into bed with the devil. It'll be his way or the highway.

If he wants to improve the squad over the January window it will really cost him, and let's face it,he could throw the best part of a billion quid at improving the squad and still not get it right. The squad needs rebuilding over several transfer windows, but is that acceptable to the board and fans?

No wonder the new bloke wanted to start in the summer. That first half an hour last night was an absolute battering and could have been 5. They need a huge clear out, but who will take ageing players on over inflated contracts? The only solution for them may be a fire sale.

It really should have been more. I feel man u picked up in second half and gave newcastle a scare but too little too late. Harry mcguire who darren farley calls slabhead has been a total dud and sure was last night, who would want him! He reminds me of old man chesney from coronation st but with darker hair

They are going to need at least 3 or 4 transfer windows to sort that squad. It?s full of very poor players for a club with the stature of Manchester United. Zirkzee might be the worst player I have ever seen.

Can they throw a billion at the squad in these regulatory times

To be honest I was being hypothetical, because I'm not up to date with what can and can't be done regards the premiership and transfer fees. The figures involved, for even mediocre players, makes me reach for the optrex bottle.

With the world time zones at this moment in time it's 2025 in Australia.

In the USA it's 2024.

Man Utd fans are still in 1999 and think they're a big club

Man U has a team of very average players with massive salaries that nobody wants.

I actually thought ETH might have been OK when they took him. Obviously, he has no clue and signed players he knew, that are league one quality at best.

Amorish been given a very poisoned chance and won't see the season out.

Nobody can pull them out of that!!

I strongly suspect Ferguson knew they were in terminal decline when he retired. They won the title in his final season with his weakest side ever. He knew it was time to go.
