Although the commentators were complimentary about us they were a bit bonkers.

Apparently their best performance of the season? God knows what they have been watching all season

A sickener of a result. They were a poor side, probably a bit better than Fleetwood and we gave them an undeserved win.

I'm not gonna call for players to be harangued.

I'm not gonna make daft comments about a four times title winner not knowing how to defend.

I'm not gonna peddle sideways snipes 'cos I'm sulking over a previous bloke being sacked.

No. I'm gonna instead applaud my hands raw to acknowledge a dwindling group of clearly knackered players giving their all until the very last second.

And I'm not too proud to admit a small sense of victimhood. Watching those last few minutes I thought how much those lads on the field, and those lads and lasses in the stands, deserved a stroke of luck.

A dodgy decision. A fortunate deflection. A defensive cock-up. Y'know, exactly the kinda stuff that's hurt us so often this season.

This will turn around - come on Tairn...

Didn?t deserve that at all?. 2 errors cost us? Unfortunately by the same player? stepping up thinking he can knick it and ending up in no man?s land? and trying to play when he should have put his foot through it?big miss as well early in the first half?. But our keeper didn?t make a save?

I don?t see the point in having a go at Grimes, unfortunately his best just isn?t good enough. Dobra and Markanday outstanding.

Must say, I am not sure we should be passing sideways to a big hairy assed centre half when the opposition are in close attendance.
We were under pressure, throw down the line - and win a few more yards down the pitch.

That was a proper game of football. Great entertainment but very unlucky on our part to come away empty handed. We?ve got a habit of not taking first half chances and being made to pay in the second half, but can?t be too critical in the circumstances.

It sounds like we were unlucky and that's how it goes when things aren't going right. Stick to it lads.

Their commentators said we were, along with Donnie, the best side they have played this season. Some of the interplay was superb, two errors did for us.

Unlike a few, I thought the Ref had a good game, in view of the fact that every Bradford tackle involved shirt pulling or arm holding or both, whilst the home crowd gave him serious abuse for doing his job. Unfortunately the major one he got wrong was the nailed on penalty when Mandeville was hauled down by his shirt tail in the box.
In terms of football there was only one team on the park. Bradford can only dream of the kind of passing we were putting together.

We now sit in 9th but for a brief time after we went 1-0 up we were actually second on the live table, that?s how close it is. All to play for in 2025.
East stand second class citizen.

Grimes 2 - 1 Chesterfield.

Feel like we were the better team which is impressive given the players we have out.

Hopefully not the last time we see Markanday.

Wrong

It?s Bradford City 2 - 1 Chesterfield

Grimes made two glaring errors but he doesn?t deserve that.

Mandy missed an absolute sitter should we have a go at him too? Had that gone in it could have been a different game altogether. They win as a team and they lose as a team.

Wonder how many days before the officials send another apology letter for 'a glaring error regarding a penalty decision'?Perhaps we could start a wall of shame in reception to hang them all (the letters I mean).
