For me mate, Mandy can wear his gloves all the time. I'm not one of those who find it odd, in fact I'd have let him have my David Coleman sheepskin gloves if it helps lol. He's my kind of player, he never gives up, and if he plays well, town play well, usually.

Playing with gloves should happen more often. A lot of body heat is lost through the hands and Liam has long recognised that his gloves help him retain energy. It works!

Very true mate, nowt wrong with wearing gloves. If you're thinking of the cold you aren't concentrating on the game fully.

Liam Mandeville is one of those players you either hate or love and I'm in the latter group. He works his socks off, although, in this weather, his gloves stay firmly on, and I've no doubt that some would have ago at that.
As you rightly say, James Berry needs to look at players like Mandeville to help improve his chances of making it to higher levels in the game. Everyone wants to see him do the exciting stuff, but the full back needs a hand now and again.

I?d be surprised if anybody hated Mandy!
Who put the ball in the Mansfield net? Super Jackie Lesterrrr

Yeah I thought that was a strange comment too. Nodoby hates him. Some might not rate him but almost everyone appreciates his effort

You should sit near me mate, there's several having a go at him. Banks gets the same treatment, but at the moment both are playing out of their skins. I don't think some realise that they're watching league 2 football and not the Premiership.

I'm not going to quote posts as there are a couple, but Mandy isn't playing CDM, nor I'd he playing alongside Banks, nor is it a case of Oldaker or Mandy.

Mandy is playing at one of the 4 behind Grigg, albeit he and Dobra are being asked to drop a little deeper with Banks behind them in a Half Back role.

Both Mandy and Dobra have excelled in these roles in the last few games but they are not positions that Oldaker would challenge for?

If DJ was to come back in would be in the role Banks is playing.

Goku mentioned that he had got it wrong with Mandy on the first page and his ability to step up, well so did Cook, he missed more starts than he should have done in the initial games, similar to Grimes, but credit to both for getting their heads done and staking a place when called upon

And, if the move and finish had been from one of the top clubs in the premier league it would be shown over and over again this weekend.

Completely agree - Dobra's first-time volley into the top corner was absolutely top class.

You're right of course, if that had been Man City or Chelsea etc, we would have rerun after rerun. From Banks passing the ball to Markanday, who chased, and won the ball back, through to Mandeville putting the ball exactly where Dobs wanted it, and then Armando volleying into the top corner, it was top drawer. I always think how the very best commentators would describe a move like that, and I think Coleman and Motson would have waxed lyrical about it from start to finish.
