Who has yet to really play number 10

So, for us, he is a striker.

We have a L2 championship winning striker not doing a lot for us.

So we should replace with Harry Cardwell?

As a late sub? Yes. He has pace, good control and can head a ball.

I?m struggling to get on board with that one, but fair enough.

Sheckleford isn't L2 standard, nor is Mandeville I'm afraid. Lovely lad - no pace at this level. Fleck? Have you seen the size of him? The only thing he's been biting is a Mars Bar. We need an alternative striker however it's done as don't feel Grigg or Madden will last the season. In terms of who's paying for it - I give you the Kirk brothers - plus there will be some exits too which will free up funds.

Inferesting you say sheckleford isn?t league two standard even though you?ve not seen him play a league two game

Colclough due in court April 2026 so will be at least able to see out the rest of his current deal this season.

I wonder if the club might offer him a one year extension, take him up to his trial date?

He's started 4 FL games this season and been subbed on 9 times. Only one of those 4 starts has seen him last 90 minutes. He can be an effective and entertaining player, but fitness has always been an issue. On that basis, I wouldn't.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Jake Rooney Derby. Just back from an ACL. Young lad who played CH and FB. Word is that Derby may entertain a loan. He'd be very handy at our level.

Very sadly, for he is one of my favourite players, I would perhaps agree. Hopefully the second half of the season will prove me wrong.

His end product has been woeful for a while. Hopefully a bit of certainty that the date of the trial gives him will help him improve his form.

There's little doubt he's about the most talented footballer we have but that's not necessarily enough.

Ah but remember cook changes his number 10s / his flair players.

Of the last 7 games (not including Grimsby) cook has taken of 1 flair player once, two 5 times and all 3 once. I wouldn?t read anything into the sub thing

I think he would agree that we need to see much more from him. Like you, I like him because he gets supporters out of their seats.

Back in for Kabamba, perhaps with Hobson and a bit of cash going Barnet's way.

Kabamba's coming up 32. He's a Londoner. Finally returning home when he joined Barnet. I cant see him coming when he knows Will has a deep working relationship with Cookie.

He never said that.

I see Harry Cardwell has only had 4 starts at Forest Green. He always did well against us for Southend.

Agreed. Webb has said Cook likes he can run his flair players for 80 mins and replace them with flair.
