Disagree Dave, perhaps your disappointment as got the better of you. "Utter garbage" nah. There were bad points, but overhaul I thought we battled very well with absolutely nothing going our way.

I said a few seasons back we should move him on because of his style but then seemed to kick into gear. Now he's back to this lethargic style again and it's costing us.

He has a very languid style of play which can make him look classy at times but too often he is just too languid for his own good (and ours)

He started the season well, but it's looking increasingly likely that he's now been sussed by L2 midfielders and the same old mistakes are cropping up, causing frustration. The same might apply to Dobra.
I thought we played reasonably well last night. Much better than at Exeter, with crisper passing, but we're so open to counter attacks it's ridiculous. No defenders are going to look good when they're left so exposed by the tactics. Time to bend a little and get a few clean sheets from sensible defending.

Oh and one for those capable of drawing lines. It was said at the time but not in a perfect position judge, for their 2nd goal was the chap failing to make the header but attracting attention of our players, offside?, looks close , well closer than Markandy at the Gills.

DJ has loads of talent, but as you point out,he thinks he has more time than he really does. He has an,easy on the eye style about him, although he does need to learn to release the ball weighted properly and quicker. Some of the out balls are blocked off due to these two problems. He's an intelligent player so it shouldn't be hard to rectify.

VAR would probably have said different - look at the proximity of the scorers outstretched arm in relation to the line created in the grass, and compare it to any part of the body of a player in a blue shirt.. Looked miles off in real time to me and I don't think your still confirms that he was on.

All of these opinions viewed from the up in gods behind the corner flag.
The 1st caution looked like DJ was fouled and as a result fouled an opponent the ref ignoring the 1st offence giving the 2nd and seeing fit to caution DJ looked very harsh. It appeared there were a few similar offences over the next few minutes similar to the exeter game (#285 exeter threa) that were not given, this was clearly winding DJ up. Come the foul on DJ a clear yellow, but the ref makes a great show of "play on". Talking to players is good, did he tell DJ he'd go back and caution trying to curb DJs anger, doubtful, he looked like he was in a look at me mode I've played a great advantage". This begs the question what would have happened if we'd have scored? he didn't do owt 'til the chance was missed. Would he then have gone back and cautioned DJ, the dons would have been outraged and he would have looked a complete bottom. No he'd have "cocked a deaf un" as they say and bollocked DJ incognito. ( how long would the likes of Osborne or the little harrogate prick remain on the pitch in this scenario)It wasn't foul or abusive so he did him for decent, he should have managed that a lot better. Oh and he forgot to caution the original foul.
Whilst I'm in full boring mode 3 more incidents I found amusing. Probably best to abort now.
Banks got a knock early 2nd within seconds of play resuming he's fouled for no reason was their player trying to agrivate the injury? No action taken suprise.
Colclough is fouled precisely 6yards outside the area. Grass lines have been previously mentioned 1 lined up with the 6 yard box and 3 lined up with 18 yard line. So the free kick was 6 yard outside the box on the grass line the ref paced the the distance for the wall to 1.5 to 2 yards into the box. No one said owt, are the town players thick or daren't they say owt in case the ref did it deliberately to get a reaction?
Last minute bottom corner. Mandy is clearly pushed in the back ref gives them a throw. Mandy loses it. Why? Mandy rarely gets animated like that (the Oldham last minute farce aside) what possessed him, the final straw? an accumulation of grievances? As spectators we dont see/hear things that go on, on the pitch.Something certainly rattled Mandys cage, you have to ask yourself, What?
With all the officiating crap we've had thrown at us this season ( we've got the letters)it must be having a mental effect on the players, paranoia must be setting in.
If there's a football god out there it's time to change the record.
You will be accused over and over of paranoia, but I am in the paranoid camp with you!

It's very easy to say it's paranoia, but you see it game after game. Grigg gets a lot of stick from defenders but hardly gets a free kick, and Joe Quigley was the same. DJ has had his own problems with blind refs, so no it isn't paranoia.

I thought you could only be offside with a part of the body you can score with, so therefore his arm can?t deem him to be offside. Happy to be corrected.

Confirmation bias.
Literally every clubs supporters in the land feel the same way. If the manager concentrated on changing the things he's capable of controlling instead of worrying about or using as an excuse that which is outside of his control it would be a start.

You forgot to mention the Araujo booking which was their player milking a harmless coming together and I?m told by someone watching on Tv that when they zoomed in their player was smiling as his team mate shook his hand. I think the ref saw this as he reduced the amount of fouls given from attempts by MK players to jump into Chesterfield players to buy free kicks and cards. This was also another ref more than happy to card our players and let theirs off for similar incidents. The ref also missed the chance to book their player who clearly kicked the ball away after we were awarded a free kick
