Until we get our injured players back we're going to struggle simple as that.

It?s cooks obsession with having left footed and right footed centre backs, should have played grimes left and araujo right with Williams as right back as for banks as CDM away , clueless

Yes, Cook is clueless and you with your ridiculous ideas about Will Grigg and others are a football genius!

Totally agree. All that said DJ was an embarrassment tonight. Will he get more than 1 match ban as it?s his second red?

Just back from MK. I thought the lads dug in the best they could under the circumstances. We were settling into the game until Oldakers stupid actions. I'm not a fan. He hasn't got up to speed with L2 at all, too lethargic and casual in possession. Reminds me of Jack McCourt. He thought he was better than his actual ability as well. I hope Cookie reminds him about how many fans he's let down tonight who have spent hard earned cash on a cold Tuesday night just before Xmas. My guess is DJ hasn't given it a second thought.

Utter garbage from the whole team apart fro the 4 subs. Thomson was lucky not to let in a 4th when he messed up on the edge of the box, Boot has to be no.1 for me. Start with Shecks and Horton, Grimes and William's. Midfield non exsistant again, Banks,Markenday and Dobra were shocking. Asante was sat behind me tonight and he didnt look impressed either. Utter gutless garbage to fight, the 4 subs did well and should be given a start on Saturday.

If we start with a back four of Horton Shecks Grimes and Williams we will get absolutely murdered. That was a leaky defence in NL let alone League Two

You are right about Oldhaker. He is wanting to many touches, too slow and its getting him in trouble. I hope he is fined appropriately he has let the club down badly.

I'm still not too downbeat, we were still in the game after the sending off, and had still made chances 2nd half, a bit more luck or a thinner post would have seen us at least give a bit more balance to the scoreline, and maybe help reduce some of the negativity on here,..
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Christ i can't believe some stuff written on here tonight the usual suspects, get a fuc---g grip look were we was just a few short years ago we only 3 points of play off places and 5 from automatic places, 28 matches yet loads of points to play for, even man city lost about 5 out of last 6 . have a bit of a reality check we not gonna win every game, this time last season Doncaster was near bottom of league two and got into play offs in end, injury's not helping either, got players to come back and a January transfer window am sure cook will get it right again and if we don't get promoted this season which is still possible then every chance it will happen next season have a bit of faith in cook and the club folks, COYB 👍

3 short years? Are you living on martian time?

Was there early yesterday and was watching the warm ups - we as a team did look very much lacking in focus.
Lots of hoofing balls around.

Often the cause of early goals is not being (forgive the cringey cliche) ?switched on?

The experiment with banks in that position failed in the national league , his excellent run of games was when he played as a ten, he can?t tackle a fish supper any mug knows that but as a ten he can on his day be superb

On the subject of Oldaker he is similar to Bsnks , he can be superb but his consistency levels are poor, this isn?t something new it?s a trend, it?s up to the management to find a way to get consistency with Oldaker, as when he gets in a rut he is dire

'Switched on' sounds very much like 'match fit' Mike ;)

The player should take full responsibility for his performance. The management can't play the game for them. If my coach sets me a workout that goes badly or I have a bad race, that's on me, not him. I like Oldaker and he started the season really well but last night he let his teammates down. He's lucky that we have so many injuries as he will be straight back in the team once he has served his suspension. He shouldn't need motivating to make things right after last night.

I'll be the odd one out and offer a bit of a defence for DJ (note the 'bit of") My tin hats ready.

All of these opinions viewed from the up in gods behind the corner flag.

The 1st caution looked like DJ was fouled and as a result fouled an opponent the ref ignoring the 1st offence giving the 2nd and seeing fit to caution DJ looked very harsh. It appeared there were a few similar offences over the next few minutes similar to the exeter game (#285 exeter threa) that were not given, this was clearly winding DJ up. Come the foul on DJ a clear yellow, but the ref makes a great show of "play on". Talking to players is good, did he tell DJ he'd go back and caution trying to curb DJs anger, doubtful, he looked like he was in a look at me mode I've played a great advantage". This begs the question what would have happened if we'd have scored? he didn't do owt 'til the chance was missed. Would he then have gone back and cautioned DJ, the dons would have been outraged and he would have looked a complete bottom. No he'd have "cocked a deaf un" as they say and bollocked DJ incognito. ( how long would the likes of Osborne or the little harrogate prick remain on the pitch in this scenario)It wasn't foul or abusive so he did him for decent, he should have managed that a lot better. Oh and he forgot to caution the original foul.

Whilst I'm in full boring mode 3 more incidents I found amusing. Probably best to abort now.

Banks got a knock early 2nd within seconds of play resuming he's fouled for no reason was their player trying to agrivate the injury? No action taken suprise.

Colclough is fouled precisely 6yards outside the area. Grass lines have been previously mentioned 1 lined up with the 6 yard box and 3 lined up with 18 yard line. So the free kick was 6 yard outside the box on the grass line the ref paced the the distance for the wall to 1.5 to 2 yards into the box. No one said owt, are the town players thick or daren't they say owt in case the ref did it deliberately to get a reaction?

Last minute bottom corner. Mandy is clearly pushed in the back ref gives them a throw. Mandy loses it. Why? Mandy rarely gets animated like that (the Oldham last minute farce aside) what possessed him, the final straw? an accumulation of grievances? As spectators we dont see/hear things that go on, on the pitch.Something certainly rattled Mandys cage, you have to ask yourself, What?

With all the officiating crap we've had thrown at us this season ( we've got the letters)it must be having a mental effect on the players, paranoia must be setting in.

If there's a football god out there it's time to change the record.
