Yes, recall that well.
It could be Exeter if it brings them a tie v Spurs, Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool or one of the Manchester clubs

The unfortunate thing, with it beimg another replay we'd known for days Old Trafford was the prize and chickens had been countered. Moral of the story being don't count your chickens especially if playing someone like Walsall who always appeared poxed up when playing us.

Bernie Wright was my pet hate and that goal at The Baseball Ground just made me more bitter.
My mate who shared my gripes met him a few years ago and reported what a nice bloke he was!

There was also plenty of woe after losing to the Droylsden antics for a couple of days, however the euphoria when their expulsion was announced was certainly glass raising

Would we have been the same ball number as Exeter?

Probably pointing out the obvious but it's not like the draw would've gone the same way if we'd won the game, butterfly effect innit (and yet it still gives small comfort that Exeter are playing a boring tie, agreed).
I just don't know what I'm supposed to be

I must be missing the obvious as in my eyes it would have been exactly the same ball being drawn out at exactly the same time by the same person.

Exeter was ball 47 because there were 44 new teams entering at that stage and Exeter v Chesterfield was match 3 because we were 3rd out the draw in round 2

Exeter v Oxford was the 3rd tie drawn so the winners will be ball 3 in the 4th round draw and so on. If you really wanted to you could trace the 'what ifs' all the way to the final.

Not worth starting a new thread over but TV picks for 3rd round in...some predictable ones but no idea why they think Villa v West Ham is worthy of TV!

Friday 10 January 2025
? Aston Villa v West Ham United at 8pm GMT on ITV1, ITVX and STV

Saturday 11 January 2025
? Liverpool v Accrington Stanley at 12.15pm GMT on ITV1, ITVX and STV
? Manchester City v Salford City at 5.45pm GMT on BBC One and iPlayer

Sunday 12 January 2025
? Tamworth v Tottenham Hotspur at 12.30pm GMT on ITV1, ITVX and STV
? Arsenal v Manchester United at 3pm GMT on BBC One and iPlayer

Monday 13 January 2025
? Millwall v Dagenham & Redbridge at 7.30pm GMT on ITV4 and ITVX

Apparently there are more TV selections to come so even worse they took villa\west ham on the first lot!

If think we?re approaching the day were every single first class game will be televised live. You only have to look at the vast number of EFL games you can now watch via Sky+ and I?ve just been reading that from next season every single non Saturday 3pmKO Prem League match will also be screened live by either Sky, TNT or Amazon. Quite a few articles as well saying that it?s seemingly impossible to see the 3pm blackout continuing in the UK after the current Prem TV deal runs out after the 28/29 season.

Gets worse?.rest of the games announced with the 32 games spread across 14 different kick off times plus they?ve decided it?s a good idea to send Cardiff to Sheff Utd and Peterborough to Everton on the Thursday night!

Peterborough released a statement saying they, are understandably, not happy!
