I agree just not up to the physicalities of L2. The right back position continues to be another problem.

ITheir first was a replica of our goal v Barrow. Perhaps we gave their analysts an idea. Pity our defenders didnt think to learn from it.

Watch their number 2 in the first corner clip. His job is the late run off the ball to obstruct/barge Thompson, which he does, and they nearly score. I think the same thing happens with the goal although it's a bit obscure. After the goal Thompson went all the way to the touchline to berate the lino.

I'm trying to spot CH's at the moment as we are likely to be without both Araujo and Grimes next season, and I've found one. Scorer Crama was the best player on the field by a mile. Strolled it.

Lots of disappointed fans yesterday, with a feeling going round rightly or wrongly that we could have picked a stronger team. Thompson and Grimes did well, that's it. The players who are supposed to feed our famous '3' didn't, so nowt happened.

I thought we defended stoutly for the first 45, pity about the 46th. A performance that if opposition had done the same at ours would have been applauded on here. We had 3 players virtually making their 1st starts of the season and Caldwell exploited this (has he finally got a brain)by exposing the full backs and getting behind them even though on at least 3 occasions Cook appeared to think the offside rule wasn't being applied properly. They dominated midfield (was TN carrying a knock from the start?) allowing them to feed their wide men at will something we couldn't do.

Albeit from afar I'm amazed the ref didn't take the chance to get a notch on his yellow card earlier with PC seeming to have many protestations over what looked to be fouls given one way but not the other.

Being a lot closer, my beef was with the Collina look alike on the line there appeared to be a lot of 50/50 calls which only went one way. But the corner leading to goal (I've no idea if it was or not DIFH told me it was, so it probably wasn't  ). The ref didnt know he looked at Collina who gave a corner straight away, now he was 40ish yards away looking through goalposts, players on the line, it was a guess, a guess that normally favours the defence, not this time though. A guess which Thompson ran some 30 yards to remonstrate about.

Collina got his revenge for this verbal assault early 2nd half when their centre half got himself into a tangle in front of Collina, and to escape theatrically threw himself to the ground accompanied with a high pitched scream all without Grigg being within touching Collina bought it that was just about the last straw and when Oldaker had his little faux-pas I threw the towel in and stated calculating as to whether I could make it back to the Tup for 22 hundred hours, the good part of the day transpired as it was done with 5 minutes to spare.

Just watched highlights and yes you're right re foul on Thompson. Pity Collina wasn't as observant!!! as when awarding the original corner. Grimes also taken out

I noticed Tom Naylor feeling his hamstring after a out 10 mins but soldiered on till half time. Not sure if his withdrawal was precautionary or if he's injured. As for the first goal (not seen replay) but it looked like it was deffo a goal kick, not a corner.

Just a good laugh, a decent group of town fans in the same carriage all just enjoying the journey, even the 25 min delay at Bristol (driver was late arriving due to other delays) didn't dampen the spirits..

It?s one of those things that happen in football Dave, teams go through spells where they get lucky with injuries then spells where they get loads

Wonder if the city fans are criticising pep and his staff for their injuries

Ah yes, it?s obviously the backroom staffs fault. Maybe we should go back to the Martin Allen days where our manager does everything on his own. That ended well.

Webb said it was a tight hamstring. Cook on 1866 said none of the newly injured will be back for Tuesday but he was a bit emotional at the time.

Cook said there was not much between the teams first half! Does anyone who went agree?

team pretty much picks itself then for tuesday, sometimes can work in a teams favour when that happens.

In spite of what Walton says, Jacobs was possibly our best attacker until he got injured, and he wriggled free of some heavy attention on a couple of occasions creating fleeting danger. Cook must have seen those titbits as encouraging.

Off at a slight tangent, I thought Jessop did well. He's fast and he put the best cross of the day in late on.
