Noticed you have stated that we require a new spine for the team on another thread. Is that assuming we don?t get any of the big hitters back soon or in addition?

I think that depends what our ambitions are and if they have been modified in recent weeks.

Anyway, now that PC will have to concentrate on what he has available I am expecting some Dunkirk spirit from both squad and supporters

I think what we are seeing on the board is more realists of our current predicament as opposed to the happy clappers who just think everything in the garden is rosy.

What about the thickos who claim that our manager only signs players he?s managed before and is then instantly disproven in the first post of the thread?

Dunkley, Dobra, Jacobs etc plenty of evidence. Dunkley injured, Jacobs well say no more, Dobra doing nothing at this level.

Shocking by Paul Cook to not consider the possibility that Dunkley would suffer a freak neck injury which he has never suffered before.

You are one of the thickest blokes on here and that takes some doing.

And what predicament is that exactly? Owners who have money & are lifelong fans of the club? The best manager in our history? Sitting 8th in the the league, (having just won a championship
& been promoted), despite a bad run of injuries? You & your ilk are beyond parody.

County fan at work with me was brutally honest and said only way to move forward is to get rid of most of the national league team. I would agree with this. I think we may see a few ins and outs in January and I would be astonished if another forward wasn?t brought in. Ideally someone with pace to run the channels. The fleck experiment has failed and I would be interested to see if he brings anyone else into midfield as mandarkay will be returning.

it depends what you get promoted with, i think we have a decent enough squad, yes we are short in a couple of areas and they are key areas but this squad is proving it is capable at league 2 level, is it capable of getting promotion? probably not, my expectation is to establish this season and with 2 more windows of transfer activity then next season should see us in a stronger position to challenge for promotion.

What predicament would that be? Sitting 8th place in a new league without really getting going yet and having to deal with a fair amount of injuries?

Yes they are. Not sure they would be doing quite as well with grimes, banks, Williams, quigley, Horton, palmer, jones though. Which is my point.
