I would have thought PF on Radio Sheffield would have been a better listen ?
I would rather hear from someone who knows our club.

Always interesting to hear strangers' take on CFC and their tactics, but in he case of Exeter the commentators were so one sided it was worthless.
Unless, of course, we were really as bad as they made us sound, in which case we can get worried.

We brought in Dunkley, Tanton, Gordon, Araujo, Markanday, Thompson and Metcalfe. Do you think all those were brought in by PC just filling spaces? People were raving about most of them earlier in the season

That is the most sensible post of the day.

I?m bothered. No passion or fight first half. So what did we learn?. Sheckleford and Horton not good enough? sold or loans in Jan
Thompson did well
Dobra did well in the 10. No idea why Cook then took off Berry and put him out wide
DJ - another error. Totally ineffective when pressured

Big game Tuesday. Hopefully some of the injuries were precautionary

Cook sounded upset about the injuries and dismissed any chance of them being available. Hopefully he was just annoyed at the performance and was just being dismissive when that exact question was posed by PT.

They played a 0-0 draw out vs Lincoln (a team we've beaten) and Lincoln should have buried them.

I feel the team Cook put out today was weak with one eye on Tuesday which I find disappointing. Still feel we should have given them a better game (via commentary)

The only thing Cook did to support an allegation of playing a weaker side was to start Horton over Gordon. Everyone else was either injured (shitloads,) forbidden to play (Markanday) or part of Cook's normal rotation (ie Berry / Jacobs starting, Dobra / Mandeville on bench.)
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Via commentary says it all after such a rant.
No problem with us prioritising Tuesday here. Unless you think we?ll win the fa cup?

Well the happy clappers can continue to bury the heads in the sand.

And the realists can continue to not be overly bothered by our reserve team losing 2-0 away to a team in the league above

Give over, there are plenty of reasons to be concerned tonight

My biggest concern is getting the kids to bed in time for me to order myself an Indian. In the grand scheme of things we have bigger fish to fry. And I love the Fa Cup and would have loved to have got to the 3rd round again but we have a big game Tuesday to focus on

Agree. We would be bottom 4 easily in League 1 with this squad. Little quality in key areas, once injuries bite. Move on the deadwood and bring in players to make us better not fill spaces.

What about all of the injured players we have, this has been a massive factor, we?ve not been able to keep a settled team.

Well there is positive spin If ever I heard one. If these injuries are as bad as suggested then the only reason that was a reserve side was that half the first team are out injured

Phil T commented that the entire coaching staff were in a huddle after the game. Presumably they wanted to be out of earshot of the players while they were discussing how to reinforce the squad list

There doesn't seem to be any middle ground between the doomsters and gloomsters and those who say, problem what problem! I think the squad and the support need a bunker mentality over December in the hope that we can keep in touch with top while the squad either repairs itself or is reinforced quickly in the new year.

Even when we don't have any injuries we never keep a settled side because of all the changes Cook makes from game to game.

That?s absolutely not the cause, as long as they?re training etc playing won?t make much of a difference as regards to injuries etc.

Well not quite true as most injuries are extrinsic and caused by impact etc (ie during a game)

Regrettably I see Tanton going back. Not sustainable. If Fleck plays for us again for a full half, I'll happily drink till I'm sober. This is bordering on a ludicrous number of players getting injured. Serious decisions needed in January, I think. Shame about the transfer window rules - a silly state of affairs when a team needs some reinforcement. Bring back monthly loans all year.

The signings of Akinola and Fleck look more ludicrous as the season goes on

I think the vast majority will be in the middle. Acutely aware we aren?t the finished article, aware we need to strengthen in areas, aware we have dead wood in the squad but also aware it?s our first season back in the league, it takes time and if we finish 14th it?s not the end of the world.

My spidey senses tell me January will be one worth watching, but until then, we have what we have and we will continue to pick up points in December

Lets sack Cook put you in charge and have Timothy as your number 2.
Keep you both off here which will be a plus.
