The doomsters are in full flow now. We are away against a side in the league above.

Big big decisions need to be reached this summer about the squad. Too many National league standard players here who will never be good enough to improve us. Agree that we will probably end up mid table, injuries will put paid to that sadly.

Too many ageing players I think.

Experience is a good thing, of course it is, but less mobility hampers things.

The squad is very much a work in progress. I'm sure Cook will get it right.

I think a major question should be what is the root cause of this injury surge?Last season was probably our best injury free one for years but now seems to be back with a vengeance.Very concerning.

Maybe our resident physio could help with this?
I?d have thought the fact that noone is having a solid run in the team and playing regularly could be a factor?
Happy to be corrected though.

Yes, because we?re in transition. It is what it is.

Utter rubbish
We need a young fast striker ever in loan or a free because the two OAPs up front couldn't hit a barn door.

Well, to put that into perspective, one of them has not played a single minute as he was injured prior to kick off and the other one is one short of double figures this season with all his goals coming from open play.

I do agree though that our attacking options need supplementing in January.

We could at least try to make it a game.
The club should give the money back to all that have travelled.

That?s absolutely not the cause, as long as they?re training etc playing won?t make much of a difference as regards to injuries etc.

Ridiculous comment

Should club reimburse fans whenever we lose?

It?s football, sometimes teams play rubbish

Think the only saving grace is not losing 7-8 nil. Without Thompson saves we get a thrashing.

Not a single shot in the first half (again) and they had 9 with 7 on target.
Says it all.

We did have more possession though?

Good old cook ball. Have all the possession, pad the ball about and do nothing with it. Sadly he's been well and truly found out this season.

We now have a free weekend on round 3 day as Salford have progressed. The important thing now is how we bounce back at MK on Tuesday

We just don?t have the standard of player to play the tactics Cook wants especially at a higher level against better opponents. I don?t think many of our players would get into Exeter?s starting 11.

Poor ref, gifted their first goal from a corner that never was, DJ gifted their second but we didn't play well at all. We gave the ball away far too easy, ball control was crap, didn't turn up. Hey ho back in the league back to poor FA Cup games.

IMHO the only things of relevance from this game are injuries and whether it lingers or we get a positive reaction to it.

Ye, we miss out of extra cash of losing in the next round, but I'd hazard a guess that us getting into the playoffs could generate a comparable revenue.

As you would would more than likely expect as we're a National League team in transition into a League 2 team and they are a comparatively settled League 1 side.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish
