A great shock. Nige was part of what we were doing with Spireite Heritage in sorting the progaramme archive. Whether from his own "swaps" or from the thousands in storage he was still filling gaps. The only problem was he didn't take well to us using Tesco trollies for moving them! Fly high, mate.

Good grief. What a shock. Nigel was a really active member of the Supporters Forum and, as Phil Tooley has posted, he will be very much missed by the Club and all fellow Spireites. My condolences to his family and friends.

Met a few times at the fans forum. Was always keen to see things done right. Very shocked. RIP

Shocked to hear this, shared many a yarn with Nige back in the day, a true Spireite who will be sadly missed. RIP my friend.

So sorry to hear this news, condolences to all of Nigel?s family and friends.

A more dedicated Spireite you could never meet. RIP Nigel.

Grew up the road from Nigel in John St, Brampton, he was a good mate of my older brother as kids.

Hi, I haven't posted on here for a while but felt it prudent after just finding out about Nigel.
I'm so sorry to hear the news, he was one of the most genuinely honest and trustworthy blokes I have had the pleasure of meeting.
He took time out from his day to listen to me and not judge, see through the lies that were being uttered and trusted me.
That worked both ways.
He loved his club and worked tirelessly with a group of others to get CFC back on track and I for one will always be grateful for his respect and time, and his unwavering support through all of that.

Rest in peace Nige, you'll be sorely and truly missed 😢🌹

I remember Nigel helping me out after I told him in passing that I was after the programme from my first ever match (Crewe at home in September 1969) he would go on to surprise me by digging out a spare copy from his extensive collection and gifting it me in pristine condition in a perfect protective bag.

As alluded to by the previous poster Nigel was prepared to expose the wrong doing by the previous regime, especially so with the scandalously run International Academy and properly supporting those affected. Thankfully we couldn't be in better hands now which Nigel was able to witness first hand, such a shame he won't be around to share more good times

He became a great friend and after rewatching rafflegate where they interviewed him, that made me laugh actually, I remember when he found out in the pub it was all made up throwing his hands up in the air saying ?what the B****Y hell they gonna do next eh?!? Haha bless his heart
