Just been informed of the sad passing of Nigel Goodlad RIP Nige and condolences to his family
Hi Ian,
I'm a bit taken aback by this news, truly gutted.
You would struggle to find a more decent and genuine individual.
RIP Nige and condolences to Sue and the family.

Totally agree, a real gentlemen and a pleasure to have shared his company and his love of CFC and we had many an hour talking programmes. As Nige was a big programme collector, I have asked if a picture of Nige can be put on the front cover of an upcoming progreamme.
Have passport will travel

Nigel was a good friend and fantastic colleague on the CFC Supporters' Forum, always asking fans for their views and bringing them to the table. He used to share the press box with me, writing for various Chesterfield newspapers, run travel to away games, collect programmes and drink whisky with me. I had a good long chat with him last Saturday and he was pretty hopeful, but it just shows you how fragile life can be. Not quite come to terms with it yet..... it's always sad when a Spireite leaves us.... but Nigel Goodlad was one of the very, very best Spireites.. EVER. RIP friend.

I'm totally shocked to hear this sad news. Taken too early.
A great bloke & someone who you could talk with for hours. We will all miss Nige, he was always a Spireite & one of the protectors of the club when we had 'dark' periods.
Condolences to his family & all his friends.
RIP Nigel
