During post match libations, instead of moaning about refs or midfield permutations the conversation moved on to badges and then cloth badges on scarfs. A bit of I've got that one ensued resulting in "you show me yours and I'll show you mine". So for the Trannies match a few of us will be digging out some old (very) moth bitten relics.

From there we concluded it could be good for nostalgia or a p..take if a few more could turn out donning their old scarfs. Whether it be the one your granny knitted and you attempted to sow on some badges, or that 1970ish 'silky number' you tied round your wrist or pushed through your belt or the long effort you wrapped round the stomach but as long since shrunken maybe that borrowed tangerine and white number that was very popular round town Jan 69 but never returned


A bizarre idea instigated by some excellent "Rocket" at 4.7 ABV but would be good to see a few relics.

I've got a Town scarf from I think the late 70's early 80's, which is blue and white one side and yellow and blue the other side!
Who the f*** thought yellow and blue was a good idea, god knows why I bought one!!
I've got a very vague recollection that we played in yellow and blue away from home in the late 70s, but could be totally wrong though.

This could be a health and safety issue for you, you may fall over lifting your hands off your zimmer to raise your scarf. Seriously though a great idea and not aware it has been done anywhere else.
