It is pretty clear he is no where near fit. The fact he could not make it through a week of training without a rest on match day rather reinforces that idea. Now he has hamstring issues

I'm getting a feeling of deja vu after the last two defeats. Both look very like the few times we stuttered last season, when the answer seemed to be to bring Mike Jones in to stiffen up midfield. I'll no doubt be corrected by people with better memories, but the introduction of a bit more bite steadied the ship several times, and we certainly need some of that now. With a powder puff midfield and attacking FBs we get hit very easily on the break, and with so much passing in midfield we're going to lose the ball sometimes by the law of averages.
I doubt Mike Jones could play very week, but I said that last season and when he did play he looked the fittest bloke on the pitch. Jones and Naylor in midfield and let the four up front go about their business without looking over their shoulders.

I think that Jones helped however I think Oldaker is very much undroppable - he is the ball playing number 6 and everything goes through him

Got interrupted with something much more important just as I was about to post and never got back to it . Bonnyman's assessment is difficult to argue against. What do you think ?

It was obvious that their lad went past him after he felt his hamstring go, not before.

We have very different opinions of the situation then.

I have just returned to the Shire after a brief spell away and thought I would catch up and see what folk are thinking. Morale certainly seems to have taken a nose dive after the last two games, did people really believe we would walk this league and get promoted at the first attempt? Obviously I can't comment on the performances of the last couple of games as I have only captured the highlights but the talk of us going straight back down to the NL is a bit OTT?

I took from Paul Cook's tone in his last interview that he wasn't happy with some players but I am sure he hasn't given up yet, just like he didn't give up when we had that terrible run towards the end of last season.

I do think some of you throw the towel in far too early, we could lose the next 3-4 games and still end up in the play offs which would be a brilliant achievement.

Standing 11th in the league is a decent position to be in, the team is evolving and will get better, we don't need a plan B, we are doing ok with how Cookie sets us up, Im pretty confident we wont be relegated back to the NL. Hopefully we give Barrow a thorough spanking and get back on track.

Exactly - the hamstring pull was what prevented Fleck from going with the runner who scored without being challenged.

I would hope we get back on track also, unfortunately have Barrow not been on a poor run and struggling away?We know how that sort of situation usually plays out don't we?
