Just watched the short highlights, it doesn?t show how Harrogate were awarded the free kick but Harrogate got a clear advantage from the ball hitting the ref as the initial punt was looking like going to a Chesterfield player, he should have blown for a drop ball and has cost us a point

Yep. Shafted by the ref once again, happening constantly this season. Very boring and predictable.

Where's good old "Dema" these days, stonewall pens not given and today's complete cock up. His thoughts would be interesting.

Go back to the good old 4-4-2 madden n grigg up front ,a green with Naylor in the middle , Kirk brothers have said they will only spend more money in to the squad if needed and not just for fun. There so easy to talk too.
We need to make the 70-80 % persession in to goals instead of trying to walk it in because teams now how we work now so they put 9 people behind the ball . Let berry etc shoot from outside the box it worked today and on other occasions.

Banks attempted a number of shots from outside the box. Either.ballooned over the top or blocked by the first defender.

***** sake this thread is pathetic

Does no one remember being in non league for 6 years?

The entitlement from some is ridiculous!

We are in a new division, a top half finish would be great, anything better would be outstanding and there is no reason why we couldn?t make a run for the play offs

We will not win every game, we will play badly occasionally, people need to get a grip

Well said.

Remember losing to the our little neighbours before conceding four after being three up at Morecambe the following week.

Two of several defeats in a season we still won the league.

Everyone relax...

Don't see how Harrogate passed us to death, what I would agree with

Dobra , your such a talent but the theatrics are embarrassing

Banks too lightweight to play in a midfield two.

Naylor has to play in midfield

Berry or Colclough should start the game on the left.

Markandy was a disappointment today

He said pressed us to death not passed

Banks is a number ten all day long and a good one. Naylor and DJ should be the CM 2 - can?t comment about fleck I?ve not seen him enough. Mandy right, Colclough left then you have Berry, Jacobs and Dobs to come in wth 30 min left. You could play madden as a ten instead of banks. But the ?bite? in midfield is missing
A new hope.

Agree with this except id have markandy right, little surprise to me the last two weeks he?s been poor is when our midfield has been nothing more than a token gesture, therefore we have no control and can?t get the 3 into the game, also question marks over Colclough atm, think I?d start berry there for a run of games see how he does. But I?d also have Naylor centre mid which for whatever reason PC doesn?t want to

the naylor debate has been the main talking point running throughout the season hasn't it, for me it's not really a debate, he's by far our best centre mid and should be playing there, i was ok with it as a one off but 1/3 into the season is too long to have your best player playing out of position. I think if jones was able to play alongside oldaker it would be slightly less of an issue as jones has that robustness about him but is also a busy player who does things simple and quick but jones is i think probably all but done. When Naylor was suspended for newport, i thought williams came in and did ok, liekwise he did ok on tuesday. Dunkley is a huge miss but naylor back there is for me wasted.

Not sure why the thread is pathetic. Yes, some posts could be said to be pathetic.
But on the whole its merely amateur punditry, with a lot of posts in fact echoing what Danny Webb and Paul Cook have said about the overall performance and the refereeing decisions.
The suggested team picks and where it went wrong on the day are all part of why we have Bobs Board.

Depressing news about Dunkley not getting the all clear on Friday - hoped it was just a case of getting a week's training under his belt. Wonder what his neck problem actually is?

Don't see the Naylor situation being resolved any time soon as Cook is on record as saying Naylor is our CB until the new year weeks ago. Of course that is before Araujo showed how capable he was.

I think we'll just have to hope that Jones can manage a game most weeks

Well said. It's an organ to let off steam, I bet cats really love it after days like today. Folks are allowed opinions and can express them on here however bizarre the majority may think they are. It's just unfortunate that we have 3 or 4 who appear to have mental problems and delight in posting antagonistic negative stuff just to p... people off. I'm guessing one of the main protagonist is serving yet another ban and his pulling his hair out at the moment after yesterday's opportunity to be a prat.

I suppose I should know better but got to say I am a bit stunned at the sudden general negativity and real vitriol aimed at certain players. It is more than just a few oddballs and usual suspects. Two weeks ago we were sitting pretty in 5th position and there was hardly a murmur from the vast majority apart from bemoaning our dropped home points preventing us from being in the top three.

After reading the stuff on here, against my better judgement I had a look on Facebook last night - OMG.

I'm sure you?ve been watching football for decades (cue Westbars), has owt changed re a percentage of folk berating players at every opportunity. There's nowt stranger than folk.
Trips to Bramall lane were always an eye opener as to their own player abuse if they conceded as much as a throw in.

That's the key area.

Too often sides simply waltz through our CM.

Naylor was terrific there, as was Jones.

None of those currently in place have their stopping ability...

Scratches head why Jones re-signed; likewise Williams. Cook knows more about the game than me but he will start to irritate the irritateable noticibly if this keeps going

Naylor was terrific there - fully agree, Chris.

Not only did he have the stopping ability you mention, he provided goals, a bit of height in the opposition penalty area, and got back to supplement our defence.

My argument is that Naylor was the best midfielder at the club. He is not the best centre back. I believe it has weakened our midfield, attack, and defence by playing him out of position. I am not bothered if he has got a more cultured passing ability than our other senior CBs the first job of a CB is to defend. If that means an old fashioned big boot to clear the lines then so be it. Also, when fit young Aroujo provides enough of a cultured passing ability for a CB in this league.

It's OK blaming the officials, but we were poor throughout. Our midfield is woeful...we need someone with 'balls' in there, someone who's not afraid to tackle....Jones is our only option.

Decades upon decades but I reckon the whole social media thing and I'm including this forum intensifies it. There has always been boo-boys and scapegoats but the speed at which opinions change is the stunner for me. I don't know whether the wider social media impacts what has put on here but I assume many on here are frequent users. Some of the negative voices have really surprised me; I thought they were level headed.

It was only last month that the prevailing thought was we have one of the best squad depths in the division. So much so that we could perm from 20+ and still come up with a great starting lineup. Now at least a third of our permanent players need released ASAP.

I'll will sign off by saying I have never been so grateful for a dose of late breaking man flu that stopped me from attending yesterday - just in case someone accuses me of being a happy clapper.
