Williams and Grimes weren't good enough as a pairing last season, though. As much as I don't wanna see Banks and Oldaker together, that pairing would make me even more nervous. Although I agree that it's basically irrelevant if we lose with one pairing or t'other, really. Hopefully we'll see Dunkley and Araujo, Oldaker and Naylor pairings soon enough.

There are other options in both positions..
And I'm no Paul Cook, but I'm pretty sure there are more formations in football than 4-2-3-1.

To be fair you could argue plan b worked, it got us back in the game. However our midfield again didn?t get the second ball leading to the goal. Both goals come from a rebound. The midfield is poor this season, not typical of a Paul cook team.
Banks and okdaker is a failed conference partnership, it ain?t gona make the step up

Maybe we won?t even make the play offs, but talk of relegation is ludicrous. I will bet anyone anything we won?t be relegated.
Remember Doncaster were about third bottom at one point and they made the playoffs.

1 - banks is not a CM
2 - grimes is not good enough for this level.
3 - cook?s selection/subs were poor and too late
4 - ref was woeful and should have stopped play after it hit him and lead to an attack.
5 - we were not very good full stop.

Not saying anything here that cook hasn't said but the balance is not right at the moment and dunkley becomming a big miss, i think our goals conceded has crept up since he has been missing.

These last two games have been absolutely shocking. But, still confident we will be in the play offs.

And that's okay, Zigs. I get the disappointment and all that, and we were pretty much dross all round, today. Just annoying that we can't lose without immediately being relegation fodder who never should have got rid of the randy nose-biter. Embarrassing, really.

Absolutely agree. The return of one or two of these and both midfield and defence are totally different monsters.

Is Dunkley really injured or just completely out of favour now?
