No doubt that Berry will be shown some interest, but I wouldn't say it's nailed on that Markanday will be recalled. In any case we will have targets to replace either or both.

This is the price we pay for success - a lesser version of 2014/5 with Clucas, Doyle et al I do hope it's all a bit of conjecture.

Beery needs to prove he can be more consistent before any bids come in, he needs to up his fitness, you can see markanday is streets ahead of him fitness wise
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

As in Markanday in a permanent switch?
If that's the case, I'd take that deal all day long

Really you would swap markandy for Berry , , bigger stronger scores better goals and only his second season in the game, your talking about a player who as a winger was banging in 40 goals a season for Macclesfield, imagine getting his fitness levels up, physically a better specimen of a player than mstkandy

The problem being that even having the 3 above available we are still 9th , won 1 in 8 at home and getting dicked 0-3 by Accrington

Markanday looks almost super fit in terms of body strength and stamina. Berry may not be able to achieve that at all but in terms of footballing ability there?s not a lot in it. Berry already better at some aspects.

I didn't say he had, but until he prove he's fit enough for a higher level, then no or only speculative bids will come in for him, he's clearly got the talent, but no championship club would take a punt if he can't up his fitness..

And his impact on games. He either does something really impressive or he doesn't impact the game at all. I know it's asking a lot and he's our 2nd top scorer but hopefully he can become more consistent... and it's then that we'll probably need to worry about bids.

I don?t think he is going anywhere, scouts are not mugs they will realise it?s league 2 and alarm bells will ring , he would not stand a chance in the league above never mind the championship but imo he is our real first uncut gem, he scores great goals , his striking ability is superb, he can run with the ball, he needs creating into being a proper player, he has ability in spades
My advice to him would be
Listen to his coaches and live clean
Don?t be tempted to higher divisions yet
Become the best player in this division
And stop messaging my daughter

Assuming the last line isn't a joke, don't go sorting him out (at least until after the season).

The loss of these three will be devastating

DM rumours of a recall in January strengthened by the FA Cup omission

JB rumours of big bids in January

RC maybe off for other reasons

Hopefully we are planning for all eventualities

Ok, so one has happened, the second looks likely , the third has been averted

Hopefully we have planned for all eventualities

No one can?t say they didn?t see it coming

Is the second one likely? There was a bid rejected from Blackpool, talk of a second that doesnt appear to have materialised plus they've signed two other wingers as well. Hasnt been much talk if any of other clubs looking to bid for him either.

The eventuality we now have to plan for is that we implement the plan in which both Colclough and Mandeville increase their goals and assists stats. Fleck's fitness could be key. If it doesn't happen then I'm a bit worried.

Do you see Colclough being a 90 minute man, week in week out?

I don?t think he lasts out full games without risking further injury

Fleck? It?s a long shot based upon everything we e seen so far

I think we need another winger

I think you're right. I'm not sure we can rely on Colclough's fitness. He looked decent 1st half Tuesday night but tentative in the 2nd. Like he was holding back. I like Colclough and he looked like he was getting into a bit of form over Christmas but it is a long time since he delivered on the pitch. We need more from him.

You might be right, although I think I might give Drummond a bash. He looked much more than a novice on Tuesday. At some point in the future, perhaps after an hour, I'd like to see whether 4-3-3 might work, with a front 3 of Berry, Bim, Drummond.

It would be interesting to know how many 90 minutes Colclough has done, but he's got to justify his senior player status now.

My blind faith in Cook sees me refusing to even contemplate that Fleck might never be fit. That would amount to a massive mistake having been made.
