He may be still somewhat inconsistent and doesn?t always do it but have we ever had a player who scores so many excellent and even spectacular goals?
On another Berry note why is he always listed on national coverage as Berry-McNally yet never referred as such on here or on local media?

Just watched the highlights before heading off to the airport.

I?ve been critical of his inconsistency and personally I still think he struggles with 90 mins as does Dobra but the are both capable of taking a game be the scruff of the neck. Berry?s first last night was a belter.

The first was a prime example of what he does best....direct running with the ball to threatening areas.

Yep....he didnt have a great day on Saturday. That direct threat bar one moment not long before he was subbed never happened. He didnt run at the defender at all on Saturday.

craig davies, very similar - loved cutting in from the left and smashing them in. I vividly remember one into the top corner kicking towards the Kop. Cant for the life of me remember which game though

Pretty sure I'm remembering the same one,but I'm at the age when everything either happened in the past two weeks or 40 years ago!!!

If he was constantly playing at the standard we all know he can, we'd have a massive asset on our hands, as well as a top player. He would be gone in the New Year for a very tidy sum and a big sell on fee etc.
He has it in him to do it, if he wants it badly enough.

I have Cheltenham at home in mind for the goal, first season at the new ground.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

IIRC he did it twice, vs Shrewsbury and Cheltenham.

He was with us for one season before turning a deal down with us in favour of Barnsley after a good year with us. He had one spell during the season where a few of the usual boo boys gave him some stick during a goal less run that coincided with us not winning for a few games but nothing more than that. He scored 25 goals that season so even the little bit of stick from the a small minority was nonsense.

If it's the same one, probably on of the best goals I've seen live.
Great player

I remember a player called Phil Brown from the eighties who was average but only seemed to score wonder goals.

Took my Dad (Liverpool Fan) to that Shrewsbury game. He couldn't believe how good Davies was. His first goal that day is still one of the best I have seen live.

I thought it was Barnet at home. That?s where I recall him doing that. Could be wrong
