Also the fact that we generally dont play in a way that means we chuck balls over the top or in behind for the striker to chase anyway. Any balls we play in behind tend to be wide for our wide men to chase onto. However also the fact that teams often sit deep on us anyway so there isnt the space for running in behind.
That said there was more than one occasion where Grigg had foot races with defenders and either got their first or got there to make it difficult for the defender anyway. He's still plenty quick enough.
