How was there only 2 minutes added to the first half today? Long goal celebrations and the game stopped for injuries, (even though the physios didnt come on.)
Yes, the "properly adding of extra time" at the start of last season was mentioned a couple of weeks ago. It was an admission they weren't doing it correctly, clearly. They now revert to not doing it correctly again, why do we pay to watch 90 minutes football. Maybe the decision was made at a higher level, the governing bodies the TV companies, if 10/15 minutes were to be added they could lose a valuable advertising slot.
Anyway yesterday, now calm as been reached. Apologies to yesterday's 4th offical for proffered advice on time keeping. Based on speculation I've concluded your hands were tied and Dinsdale(Monty Python fame) went all ellerayesque in pre match instructions taking any time keeping duties and assisting with any on field decisions from you. It was probably mentioned at H/T re the ridiculous 2 minutes and he foolishly made a point of been noticed making a note early in the 2nd half at a stoppage. Cook spotted this and persistently asked 'how long" at every stoppage, to receive no response, Cook retorting its a simple question pointing to the clock and saying "well that was 3 minutes". The 4th stood there as though rigour mortice had set in. Dinsdale having been on the league for 20 odd years and arrogantly took charge of everything and didn't need a kid helping him.
It took the 3 0fficals an age to leave the pitch hoping the baying crowd around the tunnel would depart, they didn't. If I'd have been the 4th official by the time my colleagues(???) had reached the changing room I'd have been stuck in some traffic lights up sheffield road having made too l look a ???? by Dinsdales arrogance.
IMO anyway
