Just a heads up for anyone not aware ahead of Saturday but Sheffield road is closed from the mini roundabout at the town end by the hand car wash going away from town towards the ground for about 200yds or so.

Official diversion I think is all the way up to highfield lane and down from there so bit of a long way round but you can come down Abercrombie Street to Sheffield Road to nip round the closure.

Looks like the closure is in place til the 20th

You can get up into town, it?s only closed from town towards the ground. However it has been queuing back up to the mini roundabout as it?s taking longer to get out with no traffic turning down Sheffield Road to stop traffic from Newbold Road entering the roundabout.

Gas mains work scheduled to take 2 weeks. Quickest way is via Newbold Rd - Abercrombie st. if your in a car.
