Appears that we missed a trick letting Caldwell go when he was atrocious here according to their message board. I don't recall them fawning over him in recent seasons, some were calling for his head not too long ago.

Some think a tricky tie, some think an easy tie and an opportunity for Caldwell to rub our noses in it.

Maybe he's improved, who knows. What I do know he was utterly deluded and completely incompetent here. Add unlikeable too.

Forget the Caldwell stuff.

It's a dispiritingly long distance tie against an outfit currently a league above.

But.

We did Pompey. We did Orient, We did Wombledon.

Hell, we came winin a lousy refereeing decision of doing the Baggies.

Cook will prepare properly, put out a strong side, and know we've nothing to lose...

A good rehearsal for next season when we will have to play 23 away games at this level.

Dislike Caldwell intensely but apart from the fans is there anyone on the staff who were there during his tenure

Just Listening to Caldwell and he's concerned about the number and nature of the goals they are conceding so I'm genuinely optimistic. Their attacking ideas seem to be based on the attributes of Magennis, who has earned a living at a higher level and is an old fashioned International CF. Another good test22 for Ajauro.

Incidently, Brennan's interview came up straight after Caldwell on Youtube. He is becoming increasingly unsettled at Barnet in my opinion. A state of mind that won't be lost on those that employ him.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Their defending was shocking, so I think they'll either have to change strategy and set up to defend, or we'll tear them to shreds; they certainly can't play so openly against us without consequence.

I'm sure the master tactician we know GC to be will set them up properly.......... couldn't keep a straight face.

There will be plenty of goals if he sets up an attacking formation for both sides.

The very thought of Cauldwell just standing on the touchline while Town are playing, is the stuff of nightmares bringing back horrible memories. He struggled at first at Exeter and now has a mid table outfit going nowhere which is about the pinnicle of his managerial abilities. After calming down, down it suddenly dawned on me that this is a very winnable game. We were playing League One stuff when we dispatched Portsmouth and are now a much stronger side playing some beautiful football. Some Exeter fans' repsonses to the draw said it was a tough game. They were very perceptive.

But it is an expensive stay over for our inflated back room team!

It does give us the chance to catch up with a couple of loanee ex-players though in Jack Fitzwater and Dave Perkins.

Although the latter is 42 and only played when they were desperate for players against Spurs U21 in the BSM Cup.

Not a great draw for a number of reasons but would be nice to remind and hopefully get one over Gary the Gonad for his contribution here.
