As with most managers he'll be judged on results.

But the fact the FA have had to go abroad shows the utter failure of any coaching pathways...

This is my argument. It costs approx ?20k to go from grassroots to UEFA A licence. The FA use it as a money making scheme and not a scheme to produce quality coaches. There are hundreds if not thousands are fantastic coaches who can?t simply afford to book the high end courses. And when they are in a position, they get knocked back multiple times for both the A & B level course.

Unless your headhunted & fast tracked, it?s a B****Y hard path to get half way up the ladder, let alone anyway near the top.

Must admit I enjoyed the freshness of his interview, made a change from the dourness of Southgate and Carsley, a bit of infectious enthusiasm.

Though bizarrely his 18m contact will end half way through the finals.

Well that's good then; it's bound to bring home those European and World Cups that England fans think they're entitled to!

I love England but lost interest once the greedy premiership came into being. The passion for the shirt went away in a lot of players, Currently I cant get excited about our style of play or the results.

It did a while ago but i dont think thats the case these days, Southgate did a good job of getting players to want to play for England again.

what's the tune for this chant?

It's possibly a bit overlong, but otherwise not bad

Not sure where to put this post so I thought here may do..
Watched Chelsea this afternoon beat Newcastle and have to say what an unreal player Cole Palmer is, world class even now. Maybe the biggest hogwash dropped of Peps managerial career selling him to Chelsea, at the moment head and shoulders above Grealish and Foden, mind you Southgate didn?t rate him enough for a start.

Selling him was a financial fair play move as much as anything else, ?50m straight in the profit column.

Every career path you take is full of money making schemes these days. I haven't a problem with keeping up with modern methods, but it's all about cash. I'm glad I'm on pension now, and no more paying out.
