Interestingly, Wiki has his loan down as '1 month beginning 13th September' so maybe it's been extended.

Was reported earlier this week that it's been extended to January

Ha sorry. Missed that completely. I'm guessing that they are now picking up his full tab as there were bound to be other clubs trying for him.

Maybe they just had a nice recent run of fixtures and aren?t actually anywhere near as good as they think they are.

It makes that ridiculous situation when so called town fans having a go at cook / town all that much ridiculous a few games ago! We?re probably 2 wins off top and those wins are incoming ! Fact

Whether we like it or not, Clough is doing a fantastic job at Mansfield
Lost Kiellor-Dunn end of last season, Flint been out injured for a while. They are going really well regardless.
Time will eventually restore things to their natural order but now is not the time to dig them out.

It?s always the right time to dig them out when given the opportunity to do so.
Anyway, as I mentioned in the original post, are they as good as they think they are, or have they had a favourable run of fixtures?
Their last 6 games (position in table):
Stevenage L (10th)
Blackpool W (14th)
Crawley W (22nd)
Northampton W (19th)
Shrewsbury W (21st)
Cambridge W (23rd)
See how they get on when they start playing against teams with a pulse rather than the dross of league 1

Next three games are Wigan, Birmingham and Wrexham
Great game at Matlock today, looked great for 70 minutes, 3-0 up but nearly ended up drawing so some work to be done still. They signed a few decent players with Smart (ex Eastleigh) the pick. Fiesty atmosphere with just short of a 1000 there. Fantastic afternoon to watch footy with a beer or three

Yep they?re gonna find out in this run of games coming up. But as much as I wouldn?t pi** on them if they were on fire, they're winning games against sides that will be fellow strugglers come April, so will probably have enough to stay up because of that.
Just need to make sure we go up so we can give them a spanking.
