Cook has now made his bed on this one.
I'd have to see Thompson in a few more games to give judgement, he was lucky here and there - right at the death with the attempted punch was a major let off.
If he drops Thompson after that, he'll knock his confidence but I cant see any major difference between him and Boot and today's showing

Hilarious all those people begging for Boot to be dropped? for a guy they?d never seen play before, who happens to be nowhere near Boot?s level.

Boot straight back in next week and stays number 1 for the season IMO.

manderville had a stinker today, keeper looked nervous but made a brilliant and brave save 2nd half, but Booot is still no.1 for me. We didnt look good until the subs came on when we looked capable of winning the game. Good fightback to earn us a point against a good Walsall side.

Love Cookie to bits but I cannot for the life of me get my head around playing an attacking player at RB when there?s one sat on the bench. Not only is Mandeville wasted there but it weakens us defensively.

Keeper was fine for me. Nervy start when he got two back passes onto his wrong foot, talk about a welcome to the team. Did well after that and looked solid

I didn't see anyone 'begging' for Boot to be dropped. Many expected it and so it was.
